The Heartbeat of the Motherland.
Tonight Nana invited us to go to a Salmon Bake dinner, where we were treated to a drum and chant circle by the Heartbeat of the Motherland. The food – delish! The music – Fab! the company? even bettah! Thanks Nana!
For a taste of the HotM – check it out.
And as if that wasn’t awesome enough, there was a certain little girl who wanted to play SOOOOOOOO badly. Turned out that Nana knew that they would allow guest drummers too, because they liked to find out who had rhythm. haha!
So, said little girl got her chance too, while her brother and sister looked on in embarrassment – they have forgotten what it’s like to be young and want to be a part of EVERYTHING in all of their Teenager Angst-i-ness. Anyway – here’s our pup, doing her best to keep the beat alive…
Then we went over to look at the silly dipnetters:
And got some other pictures too:
I love the picture of the Girl too, with all the sunbeams… and the girl is NOT taller then Nana – she was standing on tiptoes, of course. ha!
And last, but certainly not least? I got this picture of the boy, which I loveloveLOVE…
We visited Papa at work for a bit too, then it was back home to catch up on my big brother addiction. Ha. Thanks for dinner Nana!
