The Pup’s First Big Concert on the BIG STAGE at the High School – this was the end with the entire 1,2 and 3 grade classes up on/around the stage. Mrs. L, the music teacher, is a FAR BRAVER PERSON then I’ll EVER be!

Click through to see the Notes if you can’t find the pup. Heh. Took me a while too. She’s in the middle of the picture, sitting on the edge of the stage, where they sang “christmas is a time for love” *g*

The concert itself went really rather well! I don’t know how Mrs. L does it, for sure. She pulls things out of these kids that is simply amazing. There was even a performance by the second graders that was very much like Stomp – you know those guys with the garbage cans on their feet? Yeah – they used snow boot stomping, brooms swishing, snow shovels banging, shaky “itchy itchy ice melt” and rubbed together gloves (brrr its really really cold!) and chanting – it didn’t quite mesh at the end, but man – there for a while they had a serious beat goin on!

The Pup’s class was up front to do a making cookies song, where she was a “stirrer” – her rhythmic addition was to swish her wooden spoon around the bowl then click the spoon agianst the bowl three times (Stir it up, stir it up, mix mix mix!). And – just becuase we know it would be MY daughter – she lost control of her spoon, it went flying and she had to rush a few steps toward center stage to retrieve it. I think she simply needed to show off her outfit, myself. *L*

Auntie D was closer down front and said she got some excellent pictures of her (and I cannot find JJ in any of those pictures – i KNOW he was in there! Though the only reason I found the bug was because he was on the risers near the pup… SO! MANY! KIDS! gah!) and I’ll post those later one. It was fun! It was WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE in too small a space!

And a GIRL asked the BOY if he could JOIN HER IN THE BALCONY! GAH!

And! For those wondering? the pup obeyed the ‘no waving’ rule until the very very end. Then – there was no stopping her once she found the boy waving at her from the balcony. *L* She done good!
