Happy Turkey Day, ya’ll!
Sleep? What is this thing you call sleep? The dripping of the water to thaw the turkey that was still frozen kept me up, even after I gave up the cleaning for the night.. heh.
But – it’s 10:30am and the bird just went in the oven. I followed the directions on the package, and used the basting stuff that Auntie sent over. Everyone cross your fingers!
Back to the Meal.
- Turkey – in the oven!
- Stuffing (Mom’s putting it together, we’re baking it)
- Mashed Potatoes (Mom’s making it)
- Noodles (Mom again)
- Greenbean cassarole – put together round 3pm
- Sweet Potatoes – put together round 3pm
- Cranberry Sauce – put together round 3pm
- Croissants 3:30ish
- Cheesecake – take outa freezer any time
- Misc. Cookies – whenever the oven is free
- Pie! Auntie made PIE!
Hee. Wanna come over? Common – be BRAVE!
Wonder if the store is open – I’ve a hankering for some flowers… and now I need whipped topping for pie..
Anyway – tell someone ya love em, hm?
Update: 1:45 pm
Turkey is bout halfway there, maybe close to 3/4s or so. And Ace things the table cloth is JUST FOR HIM. Where’s my squirt bottle…
PS – check this out: Thanksgiving Cooking for the Kitchen Challenged – Too funny! And, you know, helpful. *grin*
