Home at last.
..and there were tears. And they weren’t mine! I got the biggest hug (did he get TALLER?) and a bit of clinging “MOM!” ness when I picked him up. The bus was early, he got in about 2am, and was there when I pulled into the lot. He is still wired – hasn’t slept yet, because he slept on the plane and bus. Heh. That’s actually good though, because then he can sleep tonight, and get back on track before going back to school on Monday.
The trip was excellent, he said, though he didn’t spend much money, or take a gazzilion pictures like I expected.. He did get himself some cool souveners, and even little trinkets for everyone else. AND the presentS for TGHLSB. A pewter fairy, and a trio of perfume from the shop at the Eiffel Tower. Heh.
The guy in airport security broke his watch that he’d JUST gotten the day before at Hard Rock Cafe, Paris, and he was pretty mad about that. I’ve emailed their sales co-ordinator to see if I can get it exchanged or at least replace it for him.
You can see all his pictures here:Â Flikr Set though be warned that a lot of the descriptions are “A monument…. somewhere… in Spain…” *L* I told him to write things down! But he didn’t, of course. Am I surprised? nope, not at all. *L*
He did get some gorgeous pictures! And…. a whole buncha blurry ones where he wasn’t able to use the flash. No big. I am amused to see there are not any pictures of the group of kids he went with. *L* I’ll have to collect some from others, and rumor has it that Hendy puts together a book of pictures for everyone anyway. Rumor also has it some video of their singing will be availible online too – I’ll link as soon as I know for sure.
But for now – he’s home, and happy, and really glad he went. That’s good enough for me!
