SYTYCD – Top 16!

Last nights show was full of awesomeness as the couples stepped it up once again! There were a few misses, too, but that’s why we love it so, right? Right! Each of the couples told us something, some little secret about their partners, and it was all kinds of cute.

“Twitchington” – Kherington and Twitch were back with Hip hop, and it started off the show with a bang! It was funny, it was good, and Kherington stepped it up to match Twitch and it was just fun to watch! The judges loved it all the way around, and so did I!
(watch the vids while you can – you know they tend to disappear!)

Courtney G. and Gev had a Rumba, which was a little awkward at the beginning but picked up toward the end. The judges loved it, though, and were overall happy with the routine. Not my favorite of the night, but not the worst either.

Comfort and Chris have a Jazz routine and I loooooooooved it! They danced to Marilyn Manson, and the whole routine by Ty had a very African undercurrent. The judges didn’t like it and thought it was too soft, but I loved it. Guess I’m easier to please.

Jessica and Will are stuck with Disco this week, and it just didn’t go over very well at all. It could have been more, and though the lifts were nice, and they covered their mistakes pretty well, it just didn’t do it for me. Though Will did channel a mean Saturday Night Fever pose!

Kourtni K. and Matt dance contemporary by a new choreographer who sports a mean mohawk! The judges didn’t get the whole Comic Book theme, but they danced it really well – the technique was totally there. It had a deliciously weird vibe, and I dug it! The judges thought it was pretty good too – if a little weird.

Chelsea T. and Thayne get the kiss of death dance, the Quickstep. They gave it their all, but it really was very stiff and uncomfortable. The judges agreed.

Chelsie and Marc dance HipHop, and it’s bloody brilliant – it even drove the guest judge, Adam, to his feet to scream that they are the couple to beat!

The Judges Sweethearts, Katee and Joshua, end the night with a Samba and oh. mah. gawd. HOT. Hot enough to board the Hot Tamale Train as the judges raved over how well it was done. The kicker though, was when Nigel had Joshua’s dad stand up to see if those buns were inherited. Ha!

Tonight one guy and one girl will be sent packing – who will it be?
