Death Defying Stars!

It’s Celebrity Circus time and tonight we are promised the most dangerous act ever attempted on the high wire – will it live up to the hype? Joey Fatone says it will. Last week, Stacy was on the top and WeeMan was at the bottom of the leaderboard – who goes home tonight? Stacy Dash, Rachael Hunter and Christopher Knight are safe, as is WeeMan – which puts Antonio Sabato Jr (2nd highest judges score) and Janet Evans in the bottom two. Well then.

Christopher Knight is on the Trapeze Bungee, which is his first acrobatic event since he broke his arm. He says he’s tired of using his arm as an excuse and works really hard. He performs with two acrobts who put him through his paces and he totally rocks it! The judges loved it too, they’ve been waiting for acrobats and give him glowing praise – except for louis who says he wasn’t as good as Stacy and he wasn’t impressed. Judges score: 9, 9, 6 – for an average 8.

Who’s doing the most dangerous act in Circus History? Rachael Hunter. Huh. Didn’t see that one coming…

But before that, Stacy Dash is up on the Spanish Web. She calls it merciless and hardd and she’s not sure she can do it. OMG she’s 41 years old?!? She still looks like a child! She says her life has been consumed and she was done, so she took a break, cleared her head and got back out there. She performs to Bad to the Bone, and as we’ve come to expect from her.. she rocks it – she makes Blu Cantrell’s version the first week look oh so very weak. The judges didn’t think she was as elegant as her previous performances – except for Louis who says not to listen to the others because they gave Chris a 9 for heavens sake – and he goes into some sort of Gay Fit and dances and sashays and snaps around. Scores 7, 7, 10 to average 8.

WeeMan is next to prove he is worth the votes he got from America. He’s on the Flying Strap. He’s not sure about them adding a girl into his act, but she’s cute and sassy. He relents and says it’s making him perform better. Time for a graceful WeeMan. Surprisingly, he doesn’t do too bad – I wouldn’t call it graceful, but he pulls it off and does some pretty hard stuff. The judges applaud his hard work, that he showed strength and put in a good performance. Judges scores 7,8,8 for an average of 7.7.

Time to see if the hype pays off, as Rachael Hunter is up to try the high wire act – and she’s scared of heights. Heh. There’s a lot of “i’m not doing this, its stupid” and it’s time to do it anyway. Joey tells them it’s dangerous and if they make one false move, and Rachael falls, everyone does – so to hold the applause. They talk to each other as they get set, and then perform the trick – without a bobble! (of course, everyone has safety wires on so it’s not QUITE life risking. Heh.) The judges are impressed with her risk taking and her conquering her fear. The judges scores: 7,7,8 for an average 7.3.

So who goes home? America sends home Janet Evens and her 18pack abs. Too bad – she looked FIERCE in that outfit. That means Antonio Sabato Jr. is our final performer doing what he says is the toughest act yet for him – the Chinese Pole. He is climbing everything in sight- says he’s becoming a monkey. He is proud of being the first to risk the Chinese Pole and hopes it brings him to number one with the judges. daaaaang – he rocks it, too, doing a lot of climbing and dancing and dropping and sliding on the pole. Definitely a lot of strength needed in the routine. The judges were very ‘eh’ about it, Mitch Gaylord tngthhit takes to do that. Aure he knows the strength it takes to do that. Aurelia wasn’t impressed and missed the sexy boy, and Louis though it was fabulous and was impressed with the technique. His scores: 7,8,9 for an average of 8 – we’ve a three way tie for first.

Tune in next week to see who goes home – and what acts they’ll perform next!
