Elle: The Tripple Threat Test.
This week on the ultimate Pink Challenge, Legally Blonde The Musical, The Search for Elle Woods, it’s the three t’s – the Triple Threat Test. We’re down to Lauren, Autumn, Bailey and Rhiannon and it’s every girl for herself. They head to the gym for a workout that puts all their skills to the test. They need to do all three – act, dance, sing, and seamlessly. They jump around and are hoisted and thrown around, and singing while cheering AND learn some simple tap dance.
There is no stand out performer, as Haylie says they’re all too good to choose one, so they all have a surprise waiting for them at the loft, where they discover a banquet table a delicious meal and Tiffany necklaces just like Elle’s.
The next audition will have them performing a complicated section of the number – “what you want” and they rehearse with Seth, Denis, Rusty and Michelle. It’s a complex number and they only have 48 hours to learn it. Included in the audition is an onstage costume change – a 30 second quickchange!
At the audition, they are surprised with actual dancers from the show, who will dance with them. Rhiannon enjoys herself, but runs out of breath and was clearly winded, Bailey has a wardrobe issue when she was given the wrong hat, which was too big, but she shines by handling it with perfect comedic finesse. Lauren nails the choreography, but anticipates things that should surprise the character. Autumn is beaming after her audition, though while there are moments of Pure Elle, there were some times she falters too.
The judges deliberate, and then they call all four girls to the casting office. They go through the girls one by one, and then tell Lauren is just too young to play a mature Elle and she’s eliminated. We’re left with a cliff hanger though, as the judges let them know one more girl will be eliminated as the director wants only 2 girls in the final challenge – who will it be? Tune in next week!
