DWTS: The Women!

Here we go – it’s the womens turn tonight to show us what they’ve learned so far! Who will give the men a run for their money? Let’s find out!

Actress Debi Mazar and Maxim
mmm yummy! Lucky Debi – who actually danced back in the 80s on TV. Hahahah. Maxim finds her talking frustrating, and she thinks if she can salsa as fast as she can talk? It’ll be fabulous.
Salsa: 6,5,5 = 16
Oh my Debi was nervous! Len says that it’s all about the hips but it wasmissing – her feet were flat, but she has potential, with a lot of work. Bruno says “You can work those Bazooms like nobody else!” But her timing went, they lost it, but they have potential. CarriAnn says she lacked connection from her character to her moves – she was thinking too much and they could see it.

Actress Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas
Melissa hopes that people will notice she’s no longer the Teenage Witch, Mark is the reigning champ. Melissa is worried about falling on her face, even steps on her own toe at one point.
V. Waltz: 6,6,6 = 18
Oh that was sweet! The audience loved it, too – but what do we know? *L* Bruno asks if she’s nervous, she says a little bit, it was prim proper and adequate, but lacked a little bit of magic, her lines weren’t quite as good as they could be. CarrieAnn says that she created a few moments that she’d remember, but it was a little choppy, but she’s excited to see more of her elegance. Len hated the sweet and sickly start, but the hold was good, throughout, he liked the movement, but her feet were no good, overall it was ok.

Singer Mya and Dmitri
She’s a tap dancer, but never ballroom. Dmitri is never scared to show off his skills – or his chest. Heh. Mya is happy he’s cute, but this is complicated stuff, an Accident waiting to happen.
V. Waltz: 8, 5, 8 (boos for Len’s 5!) = 21
oh MAN, she made that look easy! Stunning! The little throw jump catch thing was fabulous! CarrieAnn – Way to set the bar tonight! it was gorgeous, her lines and turns were fabulous, it was beautiful. Len says he knows it’s the American smooth version, but three bars in hold, and he didn’t like those three bars – bruno jumps in, Len says it wasn’t a V Waltz, it was theatrical. Bruno says it was artistry in motion, she was magnificant! The audience agrees, and Len Goodman it’s not them that’s judging, she’s a fantastic dancer, and Dmitri let her down by not doing the V. Waltz. Tom asks if Len has been to three bars tonight. ha!

Model and Designer Kathy Ireland and Tony

She says DWTS will force her to get moving and get back into shape. Because she looks so AWFUL (rolls eyes) Tony says she’s not worried that she has no dance experience because it means no bad habits. She laughs that she has zero grace, and she proves it with her “shimmy” which even has Tony laughing.
Salsa: 6,5,5 = 16
Oh dear. That was awkward, at best. They start with Len, and he says it was too careful and lacked energy and sizzle. Bruno says she can sell almost anything – but not the Salsa, no hip action, and salsa is sex, without it it didn’t work, CarrieAnn says she has great posture that will work for her, but she needed to look go, and needs to loosen up.

Olympic Gold Medalist swimmer Natalie Caughlin and Alec
She gets frustrated when she doesn’t get it right away, and when she concentrates it’s all over her face, and she needs to relax. Time to sink or swim!
Salsa: 7,6,6 = 19
There were some good moments – she has hips that move well, but lacked some sizzle! Was too careful. Bruno says she could one day make it here, she had good position, but she would freeze and try to catch up, but she has what it takes to be a great dancer. CarrieAnn says that athlets have done well, and she’s a diamond in the rough, watch the musicality, sink inot the beat. Len says he’s bewildered, the salsa is sexy and steamy, and he can’t understand why these sexy women can’t knock his sock off – CarrieAnn says he’s getting old. Hahah!

Singer Macy Grey and Jonathan Roberts
Macy isn’t really a dancer, free and laid back, Jonathan says she just needs rhythm, and tries to get her to walk lady like – hahah! Jonathan says she’s a littl bit eccentric. He even goes on her European tour with her, training whenever and wherever they can.
V. Waltz: 6, 4, 5 =15
Macy put her own spin on that for sure, and it was very charming. CarrieAnn says that it was fascinating – there’s something fascinating to watch, she can’t even go there with her technique, but it was beautiful in its own bizarre way. Len says there was a vulnerability and charm, and if he were voting at home, he’d vote for her. Bruno says he was endearing, it was like watching a child take it’s first steps, she touches people’s hearts, but now she needs technique. Backstage Macy gets them all giggling -CarrieAnn SQUEEKS out her screo. *L*

Model Joanna Kruple, and Derek

Joanna actually has some dance experience – but not since she was a child, and shew as excited to work with Derek, he’s won, and it was with a model. Derek also makes it fun.
Salsa: 8, 8, 8 = 24
THERE we go! That was better… still a little tentative, but that girls got some hips on her! Len is the happiest he’s been all night, says at last a hot sexy salsa! Bruno says that’s what Salsa should be!Derek made the most of his partner, great choreographer, and CarrieAnn says it was HOT, excellent, and Derek carries Joanna off backstage.

Reality Star Kelly Osbourne and Louis

Kelly wants to bet the little girl she always was – who would have thought Kelly would have turned into a lady? Cameo by Sharon and Ozzy, of course at the first meeting. She describes herself as crap – and Louis says swing your arms like a lady, and she says that he’s got the wrong partner. She wants to prove that this rockers daughter can be a graceful lady.
V. Waltz: 7, 8, 8 = 23
Oh that was absolutely lovely! She did really well, and mama and Papa are in the audience – standing O! Kelly runs over to hug Daddy, and Sharon who’s all teary. Bruno says he can’t believe his eyes – rock princess transformed into a vision of grace and style. CarrieAnn says Mom and Dad should be proud – that was beautiful! Louis welcome back to the show, she lifted her foot (lift police!) Kelly says she tried, she’s sorry – and Len says it’s the best V. Waltz of the night! Kelly’s teary too backstage, and says that it was the most fun she’s ever had in her life.

Next up: Relay dances!
This will work the same way that it did last night, as they attempt to better their scores. First up –
Foxtrot with: Kathy, Debi, Joanna, Natalie
Oooh, it’s gonna be close between Natalie and Joanna – they killed it!
Carrie Ann points out the lift – lucky she can’t take any points out. Natalie was hot and sweet and Kathy needs to stand out, Debi muscled a little bit. Len said beautif extension with Joanna, Kathy needs to more more, but it was elegant, Joanna and Debi did a lot in hold, lovely. bruno says Natalie much more at ease, Kathy elegant, Joanna still smoking, Debi, great performer, control your energy.

Oh Macy. *L* They all did well, Kelly lost it a little bit at the end, but did well before that, Melissa was lovely and Mya stunning and… my DVR didn’t catch the last couple minutes, so I got the scores elsewehere – here ya go:
