BEN AND JERRY! WHERE ARE YOU?
*sniffs* He looks so growed up….
*Sniffles* (he hid in the last one before I could get a picture of him going inside. brat.)

Edited to add: Home again, home again. He stayed for the whole dance (which I’d recommended he do, because hello, you might miss something if you don’t!) and got into the car with a VERY BIG HAPPY GRIN. “I’m glad you made me stay, mom. I had a lotta fun.”
Course, when pressed for details, I got a lot of. “I guess. Nah. Sorta. Whatever.” So I bit the bullet.
Me: Did you dance?
TheBoy: Once
Me: Oh? With who?
TheBoy: A.
Me:….the pretty preppy girl?!?
TheBoy: yup.
Me:…..so, who asked who?
TheBoy: She asked me.
…oh the smugness of his grin, then! I wanted to smack him! Instead, I – the good mom – hi-fived him. *Chuckles* So he hung with A and her friends, and had a good time, though the ones he expected to hang with kinda wandered off and ignored him. But he didn’t feel slighted at all, what with getting a taste of the ‘popular’ life, freshman style.

(…harumph…)
I love it when I’m right.
Me: So – having fun? TheBoy: Yeah! I’m glad you convinced me to go! Never seen school spirit like that, really. Kinda cool! Heh. So we saw the parade, and the boy hung out (on his own – I left so no one’d know I was related. snort. Like they didn’t already figure it out […]
Protected: And yet, there’s more. Ha. Made ya look.

I wonder sometimes…
Traveling along this world of online journaling is an interesting experience. I, for one, don’t really expect that people actually read this (though, I know you do! and yay! I do love my 3 loyal readers!) as really, who really cares what I think? Even though each comment gives me a little thrill (yay! readers!) […]
So, what were YOU doing last night?
You know. My son is making it AWFULLY DIFFICULT to forget that he is a Freshman. Seriously. Last night? 5:30 pm, saw me running with him (well, driving. We all know that *allathis* don’t run. heh.) to the school, the HIGH SCHOOL, for ‘back to school’ night. This involved, first, meeting with the Chior teacher […]
