Summer Solstice

Normally we’d be able to read by outside light still at midnight. This year, not so much:

That’s what the sun looks like when obscured by a cloud of smoke from the Ninilchik Fires… My eyes, they itch and burn… my nose is runny and I’m starting to get a little cough too. Oh joy. As if my alergies weren’t acting up enough…

Caused by a spark from someone using a grinder. Officials say that Saturdays 40% chance of rain is our best bet to get it contained – Hopefully it won’t turn this way. We’re not too far away as the crow flies… Will letcha know if we gotta bail.
