Ugh!
(Nana is totally not going to believe this, but I was writing this entry when she left her last comment demanding to know where I was. Um. I’m TWO DOORS DOWN, of course. *grin*)

So, here I am. This week is a big week – on thursday, we have the big band fundraiser, which is also the same evening that I have to go and practice for that damn writing thing mom got me into where I have to speak in front of people and all. *grumble* I turned in my bio, twice even, since the first time the guy’s spam catcher caught me. And? I’m totally out of printer paper, and I don’t have a copy of the story I won with printed out, so… It’s fate, I tell ya! I shouldn’t do this! So there! (like nana’d let me get away with that. dammit)
Then on Saturday is the Writer’s night dealy where I have to actually do this public thingy. Saturday also happens to be mah baby’s birthday! The Boy’ll be 15. Can you believe that? I know I can’t, no matter how tall he gets. And he’s going to the writer’s night thingy as my date. How cute, huh?

I’m AWAKE already. Sheesh.
I didn’t mean I’d be sleepin ALL this time, Nana ! *L* But, here I am. I know ya missed me more then life itself. Just a quicky update though, because I got nuthin. I need something for The Sourdough though – so ya’ll are totally slackin in giving me ideas. Harumph.
But – for those curious. This is Lucky Deeogi. (Lucky Dee -Oh- Gee). Who we are NOT GETTING IN TWO WEEKS. because I HATE DOGS. no matter HOW SMOOSHEABLE his little face is, and HOW attached the pup is, and WHAT THEY SAY! NO NO NO NO! Auntie even told them that he was taken already. So there.
She did too tell them that. Just didn’t say by WHO.
Oh shut up. Heh.
A nd – since I was nice and didn’t before, and since she didn’t post any of them after – Here’s Nana working hard, at the Heath Fair, where I spied on her off and on all day via the College Web Cam. HAHAHA.
Ain’t she cute?
Shhh! M’sleepin!
Ok, so I’m not sleepin YET, but I might be, sometime, soonish. Sure. You believe me, right? Actually, I went to bed early last night (GASP!) and meant to watch a movie, but ended up sleeping instead. whoo! Course, I may still curl up on the couch for a while this morning too. Old habits, and all that.
Some news, however! You’ll remember (because dude, I know you totally live vicariously through me!) that I was invited at the beginning of the month to be a “channel blogger” for 451 Press, right? Right. So there I was, gleefully mucking around in many channels, about many things, and just Monday morning I was invited to move up to a real site at 451 Press that’s mine all mine! Yup – Now? It’s all Survivor: Fiji! all the time! I *knew* my love for reality TV would come in handy! So now, at least five days a week, ya’ll can see me mucking about at Watching Survivor where I’ll be doing recaps, and ferreting out interviews and finding other things on the web to augment our Survivor Addiction. There’s nothing like watching TV and getting paid to write about it, seriously. Hee!
In other news, things are forever the same. I’m refusing to take a puppy – especially the one that the Pup dropped, who she’s already attached too, and has named Sacha Jr, which made me say NO PUPPIES NAMED THAT, to which she replied “That’s ok, Lucky doesn’t mind being called Lucky” and which made TBF sputter and laugh and suggest we call the puppy we aren’t getting Deogi (Dee Oh Gee. D-O-G, or Dropped On Ground.) which made me snicker but since we AREN’T GETTING THE PUPPY it doesn’t matter, just as his cute smooshable face doesn’t matter because I HATE DOGS and we aren’t getting a puppy!
Oh shut up.
Oh, hey! Ya’ll have questons about living in Alaska? fire them my way, and I’ll snark about it for The Sourdough since I, of course, haven’t written for them this week and need to get my snark on. *grin*
And other then all that? I got nuthin. Happy Wednesday!
Fur Rondy!
As Nana mentioned, we went to Anchortown yesterday, just the two of us (…we can make it if we trrrrrrrrry just the two of us… you and i…). A recipe for trouble, for sure! My sister said we couldn’t get arrested, because she wouldn’t bail us out. HA! what, she thinks she’s the ONLY FRIEND WE HAVE? heck no! That’s what V is for!
Not that we needed it. Heh. But, we did have a good time, regardless. *g* Sometimes, mom and I think entirely too much alike. We spent the day talking and laughing and talking some more, and even finishing each other’s sentenses, and saying the same thing at exactly the same time.
She even laughed at THIS just as hard as I did….
It didn’t help that through the rest of the day I’d randomly say “Speed humps, my hump, my lovely lady bumps…” heh. It also didn’t help that the very NEXT sign we saw was “Children at play.” now THATS fast humping. *nodnodnod*
We started off at “OMG IT’S EARLY” with Nana’s mocha in hand, and had an uneventful but talk filled trip up. First stop, was to see mom’s pictures hanging in the Fur Rondevous Photo Contest – ALL FOUR of her pictures were hung! She poohpooh’s that, but she beat out a lot of other entries to be chosen for exhibition! A picture of the buglet, and one of my girl and her clarinet made the cut, as well as two scenic pictures. Awesome Nana!
After that, a scenic tour of downtown (read: we knew where we were (in the car, downtown) but not yet how to get where we were going! (somewhere downtown!) ) brought us to the railroad station, and the snow sculptures. Most were still in progress, some were finished, some not even started. It was interesting to watch the sculpters work, as well as see some finished projects. Cutest of all were the bundled up babies who were all kinds of excited to see the intricate snowmen.
We saw one sculpture (read: pile of disgarded pieces) that we decided needed a name! We called it…. Ice Flow… and liked it so much Nana bestowed a ribbon on it!
What – we’re easily amused!
We also saw puppies galore – no sledding ones, but sled PULLING ones, as we were there for the lightweight pull.
And we met that last big beautiful friendly baby, too. He was waiting for the heavyweight division, and pure bred Malamute. Gorgeous!
After we grabbed something to eat, we did a little shopping. (FUDGE! And CLOTHES! And FUDGE! Thanks nana!) And after a quick call home, we headed back through the pass. Where we saw things like Para-Skating, Ice Formations Taller Then Nana, and Mountains n Ice..
The cool thing about the ice and mountain pictures there, is that it looks like it’s frozen solid, no? No. Click play below, and see what’s REALLY going on…
More pictures here: Fur Rondy 07. I wish it weren’t such a long trip – I’d love to catch more of the festivities. Maybe next time.
Mom and I made it home in one piece, tired and eager for a nap. Oh – And I even made it on the TV News. HAHAHAH! I’m FAMOUS.

And that brings you to the end of the post that never seemed like it would end! Whoo!
This is AWESOME.
And you thought playing the flute wasn’t cool….
