Gaming, old style!
So, for christmas, I got the kids a few PS2 games. They’ve played them all, except for the collection of Arcade Games because they’d misplaced the disk when we packed up the tree.
Well, they rediscovered it tonight. Oh. My. God. The giggling!
First, the boy played Smash TV. He freaked. out. “The graphics! OMG so old!”
and then? “AH! I DIED AGAIN! OMG! This is HARD!”
then? “HERE!” he tosses player two controller to the girl, and she joins in and in unison! “AAAAAAAAAAH! I’m dead again! OMG! This is HARD!!”
Meanwhile, I’m over here just laughing HYSTERICALLY!
Then came Rampage. Where they’re kingkongish things punching buildings. Cue more laughter “I PUNCHED the HELICOPTER! WHOO!” “BOY! You SAT on my HEAD!”
Dude. If I had known how bloody hysterical we would all find rediscovering old video games? I’d have gotten this collection a LONG TIME AGO!
Best lines heard tonight?
“HA! Punch me! I shall come back to HAUNT YOU!”
“Uh, we’re on the SAME TEAM! punch the BUILDING not ME! how DARE YOU!”
“OMG I CAME UNPLUGGED! Ha. ha. HA! I ATE THE PEOPLE!”
“THAT WASN’T PEOPLE! THAT WAS ME!!!”
Topped off by “HOW did you guys play these when you had to play with Quarters and NOT GO BROKE?”
How indeed.
New Look!
Alright, I finally found one I felt I could live with. For now. Heh. Some things added to make my sister happy *L*
First – on the left hand side, down under “more of Lessa” – the past five articles I’ve written for The Sourdough will pop up there, as well as anything I write for 451 Press. Just so she quits going “well SEND ME A LINK” and all. THERE. AUTOMATIC LINKS!
(have I mentioned I’d like to hump Google Reader? Oh, I love it I do!)
And because mom asked recently – yup, no blogroll around here anymore. I don’t use it, and well, linking to individual posts that make me snicker, or think, or do a double take, seems much more fun to me. So! Google Reader to the rescue again, and on the right side we have “What other folks are talking about” that will link to other folks’ posts, of course. Whoo!
Everything else is basically the same – more of my ramling, and blah blah blahing and the oh so springlike tulips. GOtta love tulips. Yeah.

Hey! Guess what?
A couple months ago I answered 451press‘s call for bloggers, because, you know, I so don’t have enough to do and stuff, right? Right. I didn’t hear anything back for a long time, until this morning there was a surprise email from them. I’m one of a group that’s been invited to be a “channel blogger”.
Heh. Don’t worry, I didn’t know what it meant at first either. Then I started poking around, and whoo! Seems I get to be part of a group not limited to one topic – there’s quite a range of group blogs to post on! They’re supposed to get things linked on the front/bottom pages soon enough, but for now, you’ll find my first offering on the parenting blog. Hey! It was still empty and unsullied! I had to dirty up some floors somewhere!
I’ll be mucking up floors and such all over the place over there soon enough I’m sure. It’s another paid (this one is % of ad revenus) writing gig – hurray! Kinda makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, ya know?
