This one made Lessa VERY HAPPY! because to get cheap clothing around here is impossible, and with three kids who lose socks as fast as they wear them, and who constantly need underwear for the same reason and The Girl who is WEARING A REAL BRA (OMFG!) now – I need all the help I can get!

mid-sentense

She litterally collapses mid-sentense when she’s tired. She was talking, there was sudden silence, and this is what I found when I turned around. Cracks me up every time!

Now, if she’d wake up and FINISH the sentense, she’d do her Great Gramma Pauline proud!

ETA: She did wake up talking – just not finishing her sentense. From what we could tell, she was yelling at someone she was dreaming that she didn’t wanna do something or another and to run away. Or something. *L*

Man! I’m ALWAYS getting into trouble!

Bubba called today to see what bad things I was writing about him here in my lil corner of the interwebs! I wasn’t writing bad things! I just pointed out that he KNOWS that I’m not a morning person! And that it WAS exciting news and I’m glad he called as evidenced by the fact he still liiiiiiiiiiiives and I have not yet bombed his house! (not that I’d actually BOMB his house or nothing  – but I might take his daughter to get tattoo’d…. HAHAHHA! after all I did help convince him that a nose piercing wasn’t BAD….)

So ANYWAY. I didn’t say nuthin bad – don’t get me in trouble!

However! I *did* get my hair done again. NOTHING is quite so liberating and spirit lifting then spending an afternoon chatting with a good friend while she massages your head and has fun making you look fabulous.

And I *do* look fabulous. See?

And yes – that’s blueish/green in the back. More aqua then the sage of before. See?

Ain’t I somethin? yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Feelin good, lookin better. Don’t get much better then that!

Early morning wakeup call

So – this morning (or was it yesterday morning? I forget! I was SLEEPING! Why must people call me when I’m SLEEPING?) I was woken up by a very excited voice at the godawful hour of 7:30am. (7:30 AM!) That is SO not anywhere CLOSE to my chosen wakeup hour of the Crack of Noon. Anyway, I grab the phone, and mutter a hello (i REALLY meant ‘speak quickly if you want to liiiiiiiiiiiive!) and it turned out it was Bubba who KNOWS i don’t do mornings! Anyway, he was all excited so I managed to focus and listen…

He’d just run into an high school friend of ours that we haven’t seen since – well, high school! Ok – a few years after that, but yeah. Sparky! That woke me up for sure! Seems he’s driving a Truck down in the states and made a delivery to Bubba’s place of work! He looks good, seems happy, but that was all we got to know right off. Bubba has his phone number, and will get it to me soon (as at 7:30 in the AM I am not coherent enough to write things down! *L*) and I’ll get in touch with him too.

Man – last time I saw sparky was right after The Boy was born. I have a picture around here somewhere, of him holding The Boy. It’s so amazing because Sparky is 6’6 or 7″ and had these HUGE hands and The Boy looked so very little in his hands as he stood there terrified he was gonna break the baby I’d entrusted to his care for those few precious moments. He handed him back to me, touched his head, gave me a hug, and that’s the last time I’d seen him.

Heh. Course, the time before *that* – well, never mind, that’s a different story!

He wouldn’t be afraid of breaking the boy *now* that’s for sure! Man – I’m so excited to know we’ve a way to contact him now, and can’t wait to call him and touch bases once again and see what he’s been up to and how life is treating him.

And it won’t be at 7:30 freakin AM either! *L*
