Jim
My first official boyfriend. For two years, we talked on the phone, and saw each other occasionally. Finally allowed do date – you pushed. I didn’t want pushed. In the end, you betrayed my trust. Good Riddance.

omg.

How can it be MAY already? Seriously? It’s completely uncalled for, and well. insane. May is an INSANELY busy month around these parts. With the long winter, it seems all classes save their field trips till May when the snow melts, which means numberous kids to remember to get to school early, many fees to pay, many exciting opportunities and so forth. For instance – the pup, she went down to  Homer to the Oceans and Islands center and collected shells on the beach – an all day trip that started at 8am, and didn’t end until 5 or so. This is the big 6th grade field trip for the girl, where the entire 6th grade goes on a big 3 day trip and learn survival skills and such. It was a highlight of 6th grade for the boy, and I know the girl will love it as well. they leave at 8am on a wednesday, and don’t return until 3pm that friday. Buncha tired kiddos! Then she’s also gonna take a horsebacking trail riding day as her ‘mini-course’. The Boy – he’s going camping as his mini-course, and is looking forward to that too. Lots of kyacking and stuff will be done, and it will be a fitting end to his Jr. High career. There’s also final concerts for chior and band, as well as days taken for the 8th graders to visit the high school and get aquainted with the bigger school they’ll attend for the next for years.

(OMFG – that made my HEART hurt to even TYPE! HIGH SCHOOL! oy!)

Heh – another heart that hurts at how big the boy has gotten is his very first babysitter. There was a time she was taller then he is. HA! um. yeah. She’s a teacher now… she was our favorite sitter when the boy was 2, and she was 14. She babysat for us for about 3 years until she got herself a job and did more teenager-y and then grown up things. Here they are Sunday afternoon (batteries in the camera were dead – took this on the cell phone, thus the blurryness)

Poor Nikki! whats worse is we were at the sports show? and she was asked if she was a student. She’s an elementary school teacher. *L*

So – you’d think that’d be enough to make may too busy to handle right? oh no! We’ve got LITTLE LEAGUE starting up! This year I’ll only have two players, as the boy has decided to Umpire instead – much to all of our dismay. His coaches have tried talking to him, his papa too, but he’s determined to take at least one year off. So we’re gonna give it a try and see how he likes it – and hey, an ump I can heckle all the way home! Awesome!

The girl got her call from her favorite coach – and bounced while I talked to him, except when she was MORTIFIED when I looked right at her and went “oh… she’s not?” And he was like “WAIT! she IS!” and she was like “MOM! that’s so WRONG!” and I was all “HAHAHAHAHAH the look on your face!” It was beautiful. *L*

The pup and bug will be on the same team, moving up to coach pitch this year. D-man will be in minors, and our wee lil ladybug will start t-ball! I’ve already been conscripted to be team mom for the girl’s softball team (urg. I should quit going to board meetings! I keep getting volunteered! Jay likes to abuse me, I think!) and of course, I’m the random “SHE can keep score! grab her” mom too. All that and the weekly meetings until the season starts (opening ceremonies on May 20!) and then it’s 6 weeks of total flurry before my ‘lazy’ summer really starts. heh.

Then there’s the business things too. So Monday nights are KLL board meetings. Tuesday nights are POMs, and saturday mornings are training. And any meetings in between, plus trying to get A. up to anchorage for a class in june too, and a big one on May 20 (yup – gonna miss the opening ceremonies, as I’ll be outa town. heh.) and and and and. *L*

And let’s not forget the design…

Man. I’m exhausted just THINKING about it.

Ok…

Mixed things up a bit here on the old homepage. I haven’t been using the sideblog function much, so decided to currupt it into the postings for my 36×365 things. Took some messing around but I finally got it to work. The latest 5 will be viewable on the sideblog there, with links if you want to comment on them, and they’ll still be available through going directly to the catagory page, or info page at the top of the sidebar.

The liiiiiiinks the links are gooooooooooone!

Nope, not really. They have been transplanted to the Stuff’n’Nonsense page. The list, she is LONG. And it tends to get LONGER, and while it doesn’t use the oh so easy add links through wp function, well – it makes me happier there. I tried everything to get the php needed to run, but it kept breaking my template, so I said fuckit, and went with simple lists instead. Anyway – it works. heh. That’s the important thing. So yeah – Stuff’n’Nonsense is now the links page.

So – yeah. That’s what I’ve been doing. now I need to take a shower and get ready for the Little League board meeting. Heh. and feed the kids. Dammit. I just fed them YESTERDAY and if I feed em again, they’ll just wanna eat AGAIN TOMORROW!

harumph.

Weeklong-ish wrapup.

So. Yeah. Heh. Haven’t been writing much, though I’m not sure why. Perhaps because I still want to rant and rave, though I already did my mind dump. Perhaps because I’m worried about someone, and I can’t quite up and tell them so and can only hope they can get some help – though since acknowledging you have a problem is the first step, it’ll never happen. Perhaps his wife will force him to take that step. I’m a little worried about a few others, so! I’ve been focusing on myself in my newest business venture.

Heh. Which lead to a *lot* of fun last week! Dad and I and the others were given a task that is to help us get more comfortable with talking with strangers who may become clients or co-workers. To do this, we were to collect names and numbers and just.. talk to people.

Well! Those who know me know I have a teeny tiny little itty bitty competitive nature.

Stop laughing.

Done now? Ok.
(I see you, there in the back, snickering behind your hand!)

ANYWAY. So, Dad and I went out together the first time, and then it started. Dad is REALLY GOOD at approaching people and talking to them. Me, I’m good at the smile and snarky commentary and general quick things, but in depth stuff… not so much. So well, dad kinda started goading me. And I, of course, totally took the bait, cuz well, I’m like that. And dad is TOTALLY like that too. And did I mention there was FREE FOOD as a prize? Yeah. So!

I’d call and tell him how many. He’d call when he tied. I’d call. He’d call. We drove mom NUTS. I’d call, and she’d give me GOLDENBOYs name and insinuate HE had more then BOTH of us. We’d BOTH step it up.

Then. Friday. The last day before the deadline of Saturday Morning. My car? In the shop. I was home, stranded! unable to go out and talk to people! And my dad, he goes and picks up MY daughter, and TIES ME AGAIN while waiting for the bus! THEN he had the lady call me “Hello? Your dad asked me to call and tell you I’m number 10.”

!!!!!!!!!!

So I told her to rasberry :p~~~~~ him, and then muttered. Stranded at home and he’s with MY daughter at her SCHOOL! with LOADS of parents he didn’t KNOW! GAH!

Lucky for him me, my mechanic called and said my car was ready. So then it was on again! I got 11, he called me a little bitch. I got 12, he called and said he got 12, I informed him i’d just gotten 13. Then I called him 15 minutes later to let him know i’d scored 5 more, to make EIGHTEEN! (THANK YOU to the group of guys hanging outside the store where I got my printer ink – who were totally into helping me beat my dad! Ya’ll rock, and I totally owe you Jack’n’Coke’s next I see you!) He called before bed and said he was tired, but had 16.

Whew. I totally would have gone to the bars if I needed too!

So anyway, we get there the next morning to talley up? I got first. Dad got second, and the nearest one to us had just 6. Goldenboy? 2. Swears he forgot, and would have won otherwise. HAHAHHAHAHAA.

Lunch was DELICIOUS!
And free. I mentioned free, right?

*shining grin*

Thanks, dad! It was fun!
And thanks to you, too, mom, for egging us on putting up with us!

(I took dad with me for Lunch, since the prize was lunch for two. I’m such a good kid…)

M.
My major crush for years, I wanted nothing more then to be noticed. Every wave made me smile, every smile made me giddy, every touch made me tremble. Too bad you’re a cracked out waste now.
