and I enjoyed quiet like a mouse
for here there was no stirring
all kids were at Auntie’s House!
I’d dropped them off there,
with a sammiches on a platter
And ran away fast
cuz Auntie tis mad as a hatter!
She had them all there
from the largest to small
to bake cookies for Santa
4 kinds in all!
Then I arrived for Pizza Dinner
which she made from scratch!
and while Valient played
Yum! down the hatch!
Gifts were then given
handmade with love and fun
Scarves, blankets and Jammies
soon adorned every one!
There were other gifts too
from Nana, Darlin and me
and all them were greeted
with loud squeels of glee!
Then hugs were given,
to any and all!
My lookit that boy
When’d he get so darn tall?
One last picture then

Then it was to home
Off to bed – no maybes!
So tis here I will leave you
With this bit of news
Though this Christmas is hard
tis better, cuz of all YOU!

Yes! I’m SQUEEEEEing! and I’m not ashamed to admit it!
I got my package from TBF today – and inside was the Jason Beam print that he had me pick out for my gift. It is BEAUTIFUL! And I can’t wait to get a frame to put it up on my wall! It’s signed by the artist (who, in case you’re new, is JASON BEAM, PEOPLE!) And numbered and just BREATHTAKINGLY beautiful! And inscribed by TBF and Color me one HAPPY LESSA!
And then! THEN! under that print? Was a SECOND PRINT! SIGNED AND INSCIRBED [edit – inscirbed??? omg. *L* INSCRIBED] BY JASON BEAM HISSELF! (did I mention I’m just a leeeeeeeeettle bit of a fan of Jason Beam and a teeny tiny bit in Awe? I did? So you’ve caught on that this is like introducing the REAL FREAKING SANTA to a 3 year old? Ok then, carry on.) It’s another of my favorites (who am i kidding – i don’t think ANY of them are anything short of fabulous. *L*), titled Pandora! You’ll have to forgive the shakiness of the pictures – I was kinda BOUNCING AT THE TIME!
OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG! SO freaking COOL! THANK YOU TBF! And Thank you too Jason! (May I call you Jason? I promise not to drool on your shoes or anything, truely. Maybe just blush and giggle and stare in slack jawed wide eyed awe and adoration – but it’s a compliment, really! So what if I’m a middle aged woman who should know better… *L*) What a fantastic surprise and fabulous gifts! I love them both and can’t WAIT to get them framed and on my wall!

Update on Serena
As of Wednesday afternoon – Serena had made it through her second surgury, but there has been no further word as of yet. Please continue to keep the good thoughts and prayers headed toward her and her family – strength and courage needed in huge supplies so they pull through.
Update: Dec 24.UPDATE ON SERENA: Dec. 24, She is doing alright, but the doctors can’t seem to get her fever down. She is still on the respirator, although she is breathing on her own. She is responding and is getting mad at being kept in bed with all the tubes and wires, so that is a good thing.

Driving home from picking up the girl this evening, and suddenly she starts CACKLING. I slam on the breaks and blink and ask her what’s so funny, and she gasps…
“Old Man J’s! Th…th…RAINDEER!”
And I say “huh?” and she says “they’re….they’re… YOU KNOW!!!”
And in shock that one – my daughter noticed and two – i didn’t! I backed up and sure nuff…. so it was home to get the camera, and back to get evidence.
Apparently, they finally let Rudolf play in some raindeer games, after all!
