Have you been to Alaska? Have you read everything on ANWR? Do you KNOW what this will do other then listening to the hype that everyone is pounding out down there?

I am an Alaskan. I fight every day to survive with continued raising cost of living. I fight every day to raise my kids in a place where i *have* to have state aid to survive even though my husband has a ‘good’ job. I watch all the kids leave Alaska for lack of jobs and lack of education.

And I lost count of how many people said “if not for ANWR, and the safety of my family and job, I would have voted for Kerry.” I lost count of how many idiots in the ‘lower 48’ who really have NO CLUE what we as a state need. We need OUR voices heard too.

I tend to think liberal, and even I know that opening ANWR is more of a good thing then a bad thing. My husband works in the oilfields, and he has seen first hand that the way they drill now is NOT GOING TO HARM THE GODDAMN ENVIORNMENT, let alone destroy it. Millions upon millions of dollars have been spent to increase the ability to protect everything while still getting the oil and natural gass that YOU need to live the live you are accustomed too. What, you think Iran/Iraq will continue to provide your power after Bush destroys them? URG.

It’s the same shit with eveyrone who gets all pissed off about our government santioned wolf hunts. Sure. Let’s ban that. Let’s forget that we’ve got MULTIPLE packs as large as 50 wolves big. Let’s forget that these wolves will attack for no other reason then “they looked at me wrong” Let’s forget that they are destroying the populations of other animals that we’re not protecting because eveyrone in the Lower 48 is too big on protecting the wolves that KILL THEM FOR NO REASON. They don’t even EAT what they kill people. They don’t do it to SURVIVE.

They are like Humans. They kill just for the thrill it gives them.

Let’s forget that the moose and bear population is dropping because these packs are attacking and killing without need. Let’s forget that government sactioning allows them to be thinned out, not completely destroyed all together and let’s surely forget that people DIE because of this. My husband was attacked by a wolf. Yes. He survived – but not unscathed. “Oh there has never been an unprovoked wolf attack in the north” bullshit.

Read people. Read. Get ALL the facts.

And for chrissaks – if you don’t LIVE in Alaska, and you don’t KNOW the facts, don’t speak for me.

/rant.

I love ya CC.
