Nano<\/a> is going well. I hit 37,504 on the word count yesterday, which puts me at 75% done and no need to write until next Tuesday. Hee. Asshole has been much more supportive about it all this year, partially (or hell, entirely *L*) because he LOVED last years book, all except chapter three. Most the guys I know have had to skip chapter three, being as its a pretty graphic m\/m gratuitous sex scene. heee. The people he’s let read it all say it’s good – except for that chapter. *L*<\/p>\n

\nOf my efforts this year, I’ve been told that this one is marketable. I don’t know that i believe them just yet, but perhaps I’ll look into it after the editing is done. I’m going to take more time editing this one, adding and deleting and padding and getting some little things taken care of (Like sticking to a set timeline! sheesh! and adding a more full description of ‘town’ and the homestead, etc.) and making sure that each and every little gramatical error is taken care of.<\/p>\n

After mom finds them. Hee.<\/p>\n

I don’t think it’ll be a ‘finished’ story at 50k either. I think it’ll be more like a 75k or so by the time i’m done and started editing, perhaps a little more then that 80 or so when the edits are finished. We’ll see how it goes. So anyone with any kind of knowledge about submitting novels for publication?!? Please feel free to give me any pointers, because if i DO decide to give this a try – I’ve no bloody idea where to start.<\/p>\n

So – something I forgot to mention in my ire at the bro in law and just in general because sometimes i’m the worst! mom! ever! – In Saturday morning’s basketball game, the girl made a basket! her first for this season (first in the last two seasons I think – but she’s one kick ass ‘assister’ now that she’s not quite so timid) and not only that, I managed to click the camera in JUST enough time to get a picture of it too! that NEVER happens! But here! Proof!<\/p>\n

The girl would be the cute blond there who looks like she’s praying. *chuckles* It worked! Also – here’s a picture of the new nephew who’s the poor child stuck in the middle of the mess in the previous post. Ain’t no doubt at all he’s related to the Asshole, for sure. *L* looks just like his daddy, this one does…<\/p>\n

And now – I’m off into the falling snow to take my car in to hopefully get it fixed for GOOD this time, then to dad’s to do some typesetting and stuff since he’s covering the bill for me. Oy. Hopefully this time it’ll be done right – the best part being, if this trip fixes the problem?<\/p>\n

*snerk* I told everyone that the problem they’re looking at today was what it sounded like was happening to me a YEAR ago. Did anyone listen? nooooooo. Sure, Lessa doesn’t know anything about cars? But dammit, I can TELL what kind of sound this one was. There was NO doubt in my mind. Hopefully the boys at Audio Concepts will prove me right today. Keeping my fingers crossed – because you can be DAMN sure I’ll be lording this one over the Asshole if it happens this way. <\/p>\n
