The Snark is Live and Well with this one. We’ve been watching “Can you Duet” on CMT because we’re hopeless and bored and well, it breeds conversations like the following. The tagline of the show is “So we ask you, Can you Duet?” but it sounds more like “do it” which is a breeding ground of amusement for me, as you can probably deduce all on your own. Tonight’s conversation:<\/p>\n
Girl: Can you Duet?
\nMe: I have done it!
\nGirl: You have?
\nMe: I have! FOUR TIMES!
\nGirl: ….
\nMe: You only do it if you wanna have a baby, right?
\nGirl: … uh… yeah…. sure…
\nMe: If you’re Catholic.
\nGirl: We’re NOT Catholic (said with obvious tones of relief)
\nMe: What are you saying?
\nGirl: …nothing? Just that we’re not Catholic?
\nMe: Your Nana was raised Catholic!
\nGirl: But we’re NOT. Thank goodness (said under her breath, but I heard it!)

\nGirl: … what?
\nMe: So… you’re glad… because you wanna do it?

\nMe: LIAR!
