Ok – They call for the EEG and find they’re book solid for 2-3 weeks. heh. Fortunately, at the other hospital, they had a cancelation for tomorrow, so at 1pm he’ll get his test and hopefully be cleared back to work. He hasn’t had another episode, and has gotten a lot of good deep sound sleep, so perhaps it was a Sleep dep thing, rather then something worse – we can always hope. Hopefully if the EEG comes back clean, they’ll ship him back to work on Saturday morning, because they want him back up there ASAP.

\nThen – because things always go to hell in batches of 8million – I get contacted about a website I was subcontracted under someone to complete a year and a half or so ago. I go to said person\/company, and ask if he wants me to continue as a subcontractor through him, or just do the work on my own and get paid directly from the client. He says through him – so I clue him in on my current rates, which is more what I’m worth, very reasonable, and more then the pennies he was paying me when I was first starting out on my own. His words, and I quote: “Well, you just lost yourself a job.”<\/p>\n
Bloody Fucking Hell. Not that this guy has contacted me about any sites for the past year, NOR has he paid me what he owed me for work on a site before that, one he finally went and completed on his own rather then give me the pictures and information to finish. I believe he still owes me about 50 bucks too, from 2003. Asshole. I was being NICE for chrissakes.<\/p>\n
So i get ANOTHER email from the client in question this morning. I reply again and explain that I cannot do any updates because I no longer work for this company and theres nothing I can do unless they contract me directly. C’est la vie. I figured that would be the end of it – and damned if I don’t get a bloody phone call from ANOTHER client from the same period of time, wanting me to fix their email. *smirk* No can do, I explain agian that I was fired because he refused to pay my current rates, and then promise to pass along the message. Which i do, because I’m nice like that. The guy has the AUDACITY to ask ME for their contact information! they’re HIS fucking clients, he should have that shit. I wanted to smirk “look it up, dickhead.” but I was nice and passed it along. may as well not completely burn the bridge, even if I want too.<\/p>\n
