Which means, of course, the kids have no school. Which means, of course, Lessa is going AAAAAAAHHH! Heh.

The reports, for the most part, were pretty good. All three were highly praised by their teachers for their imagination and their ability to continue to work and have grades up as high as they were while dealing with the emotional issues of losing Daddy. All three show a spark and flare for writing, and that’s been obvious to all of their teachers – also obvious and getting chuckles from me and sheepish looks from all THREE kids was the comment “oy, but their SPELLING is attrocious!” Well no kidding – look at mine!

The boy has one F, Math, and has promised to work twice as hard to get not only that one up to speed, but the other’s he’s falling down a bit in. He has his DC trip to look forward and save for as it is. It’d be a shame if gramma got to go and he had to stay home…

The girl, as well, has one F, Language Arts, and also has promised to put the extra work required into it. She has brought her math grade up from an F to a C with the extra class she’s been taking, and so that is a good thing too.

ALL of the Middle School teachers had great things to say about the kids – always respectful, always nice, just all around good kids. Even though the boy was showing his ass and being typically 13 at the time. *Smirk* But all in all they’re well loved by their teachers, and they’re holding their own gradewise.

The pup’s first grade teacher is the same gal who taught the older two in first and second grades. Which was the whole reason we opted to send the pup to the charter school for these two years. She’s got the Pup in one to one tutoring for reading and math, and man! The difference in just the past few weeks has been amazing! And, true to form? Teacher said “oh, but her spelling words….ouch.” Though even there she’s showing improvement.

So gold stars all the way around, except for the boy’s pissy ass attitude during the conferences themselves, for which he’s apologized profusely.

And – in other news?
