I want off."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gonfalon.org\/eclat\/2006\/06\/06\/bullet-points-somebunny-shoot-me\/\">OK &#8211; so, remember when I said the dog had a golf ball sized lump in her throat last week?\u00a0 <\/a>She stopped eating her dry food, her eyes got goopy, she got lathargic, and just generally didn&#8217;t seem herself over the past two days. So I called Auntie Ladybug, who agreed a vet visit was called for, and they got me in right away.<\/p>\n<p>She has <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.marvistavet.com\/html\/canine_lymphoma.html\">canine lymphoma<\/a>, which is universally fatal. We&#8217;ve been given some prednisone, which should make her comfortable, and even happy for the next month or so, putting it into temporary remision, but she has only a few months at best. If it doesn&#8217;t seem to be better in a few days, we won&#8217;t even have that long with her. My heart is breaking, and I had to tell the kids, and it&#8217;s just not fucking FAIR. They lost their dad, now their dad&#8217;s\/our dog is going to die, and the cat is looking worse by the day and likely will not survive the next couple months either.
