As volunteer Coordinator, Nana knows she can “volun-tell” us to be wherever she needs us to be and we’ll arrive like the good kids we is. I was a flagger, and the pup wanted a job too, so I told her to cheer!

She was a pretty good cheerleader too, and was told many times that she was “awesome!” and even that she was the one reason a lady made it back past our checkpoint on the return, so that the pup could cheer her on. Lots of smiles, and the run seemed to be a pretty good success.

The Girl and Boy helped Papa Moosie running the sweep truck, and then picking up the cones and signs after the race, behind the last runner.

Naturally it was rainy and cold – good for the runners, not so much for the workers – and also, naturally, the sun arrived AFTER the race.
