(Nana is totally not going to believe this, but I was writing this entry when she left her last comment demanding to know where I was. Um. I’m TWO DOORS DOWN, of course. *grin*)<\/p>\n

So, here I am. This week is a big week – on thursday, we have the big band fundraiser, which is also the same evening that I have to go and practice for that damn writing thing mom got me into where I have to speak in front of people and all. *grumble* I turned in my bio, twice even, since the first time the guy’s spam catcher caught me. And? I’m totally out of printer paper, and I don’t have a copy of the story I won with printed out, so… It’s fate, I tell ya! I shouldn’t do this! So there! (like nana’d let me get away with that. dammit)<\/p>\n
Then on Saturday is the Writer’s night dealy where I have to actually do this public thingy. Saturday also happens to be mah baby’s birthday! The Boy’ll be 15. Can you believe that? I know I can’t, no matter how tall he gets. And he’s going to the writer’s night thingy as my date. How cute, huh?

\nThe week after that, we’ll all be in a flurry as we get ready to send The Boy off to Europe at long last. He’s practically GIDDY with excitement, and still working hard to keep his grades where they need to be (so far so good!) as well as with all the extra practices in the evenings. He has a dress rehersal on Sunday, and then next Sunday the 18th at 3:30am, he’ll board the bus that’ll take him to anchorage with the rest of his group and he won’t be home until the 31st.<\/p>\n
SOB! I can’t believe the trip is almost here! Is it too soon to be eager for him to come home? This growing up and letting go thing is HARD. Is it too late to change my mind?<\/p>\n
Bah humbug.<\/p>\n
Other then that, things are going good. my 451 Press blog Watching Survivor is up and running and I get more hits every day. I’m pretty excited about what will be Thursday’s post – I’ve found a lot of the past (and a couple present!) Survivor’s on MySpace (I know. Ew. but it’s like one stop Survivor Shopping!) and a couple of them have been really nice in answering questions and giving opinions. I even briefly messaged with Jonny Fairplay, the most hated Survivor ever<\/em>! So, stay tuned for Thursdays. Another past Survivor will be chiming in!<\/p>\n That’s bout it for me.
