FLASHBACK!

Holy hell. *LMAO* Ok. So the girl had her halloween festival at school, last week, so I proved to her that you can, indeed, make cool costumes out of all the shit we have laying around the house. 20 minutes with a brush, her glitter makeup, a dress up boa, some kick ass much wicked nails, and serious amounts of mouse and hairspray – and we’ve got us a true 80’s diva…

Well, of COURSE the pup LOVED it. So. I get this message last night asking about where and when to have the kinders in costume this morning – ACK. I had totally forgotten about the party/parade. So – since the pup loved the 80’s look so much, we bumped it up a notch.

I grabbed a pink t-shirt of the girl’s that she was willing to sacrifice and went to work. Scissors and paint and 1.5 hours later I had her outfit ready. So when she got up this morning – early, she walked out and saw her shirt and her eyes just LIT up, and omfg. that was the best. feeling. ever. *L* She’s such a little diva and so opinionated, I really wasn’t sure she’d like it – but finally! proof she’s MY daughter too! *L* there ARE some of my genes in there!

So we got her dressed, grabbed the makeup, the hairspray (gold and yellow) and the glitter and went to work.

Then I stared. OMFG. I have a picture of me looking JUST LIKE THAT…. but. um. it wasn’t halloween. *LMAO* What did I look like in high school? well, add a couple feet taller, and a couple feet o’curves to this:

And yes – TBF, those beads are some of the very ones your mom sent home from Mardi Gras that first visit. *L* We still have quite a few strands hanging around. *g*

Now, by the time it was parade time at school – in the typical fashion of us poor women who have baby fine hair that will hold no style – her hair was quite a bit um. well. flatter.

And, well, when she got home? Let’s just say it’s EXHAUSTING being an 80’s rock star diva!

her: for YOU maybe, old woman. I was 8.
me: *KILLS* BITCH!
her: *cackles* Cute though.
me: *sulks*
