What a novel…meme.
Whereupon you learn just how boring and uneducated I can be… hee.
Hardback or Paperback?
Doesn’t matter. I devour them both.
Highlight or Underline?
Neither in the books – we’re talking sell back value people! That and I can never find a highlighter when I need one. IN general, if it MUST be, it’s usually underlined.
Lewis or Tolkien?
I’m probably the biggest dweeb in the world, but I’ve never read Tolkien.
E.B. White or A.A. Milne?
Erm. Should I admit I had to look up who these people were? Hey! Quit laughing – Some days I can’t remember my OWN name. heh. Ah – Charlotte’s Web, vs. Pooh. Sorry – it’s all about Eeyore, man. Though I love CHarlotte’s web too.
T.S. Eliot or e.e. cummings?
*scratches head* Um.
Stephen King or Dean Koontz?
I like them both, but for me, since an english teacher handed me It in highschool, it’s all about King, baybee. We’ve a sick twisted relationship, the King and I. Course, I’ve still never forgiven my cousin for sitting behind King and his wife in a movie theater and not bothering to get his autograph for me. Asshole.
Barnes & Noble or Borders?
Doesn’t matter – closest one of either to me is 3 hours and a slippery mountain pass away.
Waldenbooks or B. Dalton?
the fucks b. dalton? And see above for Walden.
Amazon or Powell?s?
The fuck’s powells? Amazon, baybee.
Fantasy or Science Fiction?
Fantasy, baybee, followed with healthy doses of Sci-Fi.
Horror or Suspense?
Both! Dammit, I like my horror suspenseful!
Bookmark or Dogear?
Ah – the cause of much marital discord! dogear, much to The Asshole’s HORROR and eternal consternation. Whew, and when I leave a book open, face down on the counter? I swear, he thinks it’s grounds for divorce. hee. He’s one of those weirdo’s that won’t crack the spine to get the book open far enough to read comfortably either…
Hemingway or Faulkner?
……longwinded high falutin’… never make it through either easily.
Fitzgerald or Steinbeck?
Erm. See above.
John Irving or John Updike?
Who?
Homer or Plato?
GAH. Can’t I have Goodkind, Heinlein and McCaffrey instead?
Geoffrey Chaucer or Edmund Spenser?
again… see above. *makes face*
Pen or Pencil?
Whatevers closest at hand. Oddly, I find my handwriting better when I use a pencil – no pressure, because it can be easily erased I guess.
Looseleaf or Notebook?
Notebook – unless of course I’m just sitting here at my desk, and then? It’s all about the post-its baybee. I got them super sticky, multicolored jobbies all OVER the place.
Alphabetize: By Author or By Title?
HAHAHAHAHAH! We just throw em on a shelf. Except for my Goodkind- he sits right here on my desk next to me.
Novella or Epic
Epics! THough nothing beats a quick bathroom break Novella. heh.
Fiction or Non-fiction?
Fiction, totally, all the way. If I want reality, I can just look out my front door – shit that’s seen there is stranger then any fiction for sure.
Historical Biography or Historical Romance?
Romance. Sorry – give me light and fluffy.
A Few Pages per Sitting or Finish at Least a Chapter?
All about the chapters. And being late for something because there’s just a few more pages left and it’s THAT good… And I’m all about getting zero sleep to finish a really good book too.
Buy or borrow?
Steal. Just kidding. heh. Buy when I can, borrow when I can’t. I’m a big re-reader, I want my books HERE all the time so I can just pick them up and reread my favorites whenever I want.
Book Reviews or Word of Mouth?
Both, but I trust word of mouth more.
Audio or Hardcopy
Hardcopy – i cannot ‘listen’ to a book! the voice throws me off, and then puts me to sleep.
Screen (computer, PDA, etc) or Hardcopy
For reading anything longer then blogsized entries – hardcopy. Too much reading online makes my eyes go all squiggly…. though I do it all the time. *L* No wonder I need to get a new perscription for me glasses, hm?
