oooooooooooh soooooooooooft!

I know you’re DYING to see them – yup, I know ya are! Well! After a comedy of errors to get them IN here, they are in my living room at last! First, the delivery guys missed our road, and had to be waved in by the boy. Then they brought the chair right on in, and discovered that um – it’s a bit of a tight fit – stop in the middle and take the legs off and manhandle it through. Then, taking the first part of the old one out – and on my clean freshly vacumed floor FWOOSH! the bottom was tattered and thus that first lift and everything I missed came flowing out. But hey! We found the boy’s watch! whoo!

So – to get the first one OUT of the house, it was up and over the half wall, to the door, and full on manhandle PUSH to get it outside, while I just chuckled. Then, a quick cleanup of the mess, and here they come with the couch. They took the legs off first this time, and it was up and over the porch railing, in the door (squashed fingers and wrist for the delivery boy) and up and OVER the wall, and finally down into position.

The removal of the other half of the old couch saw another FWOOSH on my carpet (theboy: hey! there was a whole packet of ritz in there! I wondered where those went!) and they manhandled it over the wall and out the door – taking out half my shelves with them. heh. I was amused. Then they offered to come in and arrange for me, but I shoo’d them off. These ones are MUCH lighter then the old ones and very easy to slide around. whee!

Oh and how i LOVE them! Soft and chocolatey! And they’ve gotten rave reviews from everyone. So comfy! so soft! so….covered in kids. Damn. Good thing it’s almost bedtime – i’ve a movie and a new comfy chair with my name on them. I even kicked out the pup and made her go to bed – after I took a picture. hee!
