I am woman – hear me roar!

…in pain! oy. So, the pup is still feeling poorly – having tonsils the size of Texas will do that to a gal!- and I kept her home from school today again. And she played while I napped off and on on my comfy couch, and then it was time for her doctors appt. I remembered I had movies that needed returned (yesterday…but who’s counting?) and so I hurried back inside to grab them. And went to step over the pup’s sit and spin, and didn’t quite make it and fell, landing all lotsopoundsolessa directly onto my knees, thus jarring the hell out of my back.

I thought it was just the lower back/hip area that was aching, but now it’s crept all the way up into my shoulders/upperback and the base of my skull. oh! goody! Life is fantastic when one can’t MOVE without wincing! Grr. And they had the nerve to ask “but why do we have to clean up the living room?” when I told them to get the toys out NOW dammit. Little buttheads.

So anyway – pup is on meds for the next 3 days, and that should make her feel better, the other two have appts for wednesday, and I managed to gross out the Doc who prides herself in grossing out others. Heh. Told her what I’ve told the Girl – if she’d just hack up her lung already, I could serve it up fried for dinner, with a lovely ciante! Obviously, Doc has seen Silence of the Lambs. heeheehee. She told me that I was in a league all my own, and she would bow to the master of grossness. *preen* She also proved me RIGHT to the pup, who discovered mommy does too know what the “punchingbag thingy at the back of the throat” is called. (the uvula – though quite possibly i cannot spell it. though i know what it is and how to say it. *L*)

Oh – and I’ve put together my entertainment center, though it is yet to be put in place and loaded up. And the desk that I bought? Awesomely enough, I checked the mail on the way home? and found that a client from last year who had neglected to pay me had finally sent me a check? for the exact amount of $$ that my new desk cost! WHOO! it’s like christmas all over!

So i’m now off to a hot shower to hopefully relax my back, and then a bit of relaxation before tonights meeting.

And it’s still snowing.
And I have to drive to Anchorage again on Friday.
Sigh.
