Aftereffects

Whew. The afterchristmas letdown… sometimes is good, sometimes is bad, sometimes it is simply filled with gratefulness that the bloody inlaws are out and gone again. heh.

Christmas was great, actually, and spent without bloodshed. *L* There were a couple comments made here and there by the BIL that I had to shut down, and there was the realization that his fiancee is indeed dumber then a fucking rock. Think I’m kidding? Here’s a taste – she was born a month premature and actually sat up in the basinet and looked around when she was just minutes old – that’s how strong she was, even though she’s always been short/small. Yeah – this one’s THAT high up on the intelligence scale. Thats just one of the many things that had us shaking our head and biting our tongues. oy.

The kids had a good time, and I was able to get them all one thing they really wanted. I even scored the correct bionacle set that the boy wanted in california, but they wouldn’t sell it to us a day early, the bastards. However – I had the last laugh! Not only was it the right one, and the very last one on the shelf at freddies, but instead of the 35 bucks it would have cost me in downtown disney lego store? I got it for 17.95. So THERE. HA! And the boy was VERY happy to receive it. The girls got the new Easy Bake OVen, and have been making a mess of my kitchen ever since. *L* So everyone was content – even though it wasn’t a large christmas by any means, it was a very good one.

Me? I got me a monogrammed business car holder AND business cards from mom! and a book light and some hawaiian lip balm and a very cute print for my wall. Color me very content – there were smiles all around.

And specially for Shelly – you want cuteness? here ya go… *grin*

The day after christmas was the day chosen for traditional Clown Day since the BIL was here. Everytime he comes to visit, he brings extra costumes, makeup and balloons in order to let the kids all dress up like him and Mr. Twister takes out his family to give away free balloons and generall clown around. They go to the Heritage Place – an old age home, as well as make a run through the Hospital to see any kids (or anyone else who enjoys clowning around) in the ER or throughout the other rooms. It’s always great fun.

This year, one of my clients, J & R Limousine, gave us a big discount, and let him have the limousine for a reduced price and we went clowning around in style! Here’s a preview,

Hope your holidays were just as funfilled and equally without bloodshed! Few more days and we cna say goodbye to 2004 and hit up 2005 with renewed vigor….
