SYTYCD – Results!

It’s results time for our top 14 – how did you vote? We start off with a group number by Tyce Diorio to “Money, Money” from Caberet, which is just plain fun to watch – especially as they end it by throwing out fake $100 bills with nigel’s face on them! Fun! Cat looks fabulous tonight in red, though my daughter (and I) want to know what is on her head – sure, it’s her hair, but it’s very odd. I liked last nights old school glam much better!

Anyway – they pick on Tyce a little more (yay filler!) with a montage of his descent into meanness during the auditions, while he stammers and blushes in the audience, before it’s time to get the ball rolling. First up – Twitch and Kerrington and Kacee and Josh. Cat decides they all need a heart attack by saying “Which one of these couples are in the bottom three?” then announcing that neither of them are, which lead to quite the happy dancing, and shocked looks and Cat’s apologies while laughing, of course. Haha!

Kourtni and Matt, Courtney and Gev, and Chelsie and Mark join Ms. Deely on the stage, to discover that Kourtni and Matt are in the bottom three once again, though Kourtni’s hair is looking FIERCE tonight. The judges think they just aren’t connecting enough with America, but plan to do so with their solos.

Courtney and Gev find out that they are in the bottom three as well (noooo!), while Chelsie and Mark are safe. Cat asks Nigel what happened because Courtney and Gev are the “Cutest things on the PLANET!” He just says it depends on their solos, it’s the way it goes, that’s all, no big deal.

Next up we find out the fates of Jessica and Will, as well as Comfort and Thayne. The last in the bottom three are Comfort and Thayne (aaaaaaaaaaah. I bet they, and Courtney and Gev are safe tonight. There’s really no other choice. Le sigh.) Mary says that it was might that they were a new couple, but they did fabulously last night, and Comfort really shined and Thayne is “the sure thing dude” and he stood out in the group number.

Before the solos, our guest dancer is the popper who walked away from the competition in Vegas, Robert Muraine, and he’s still fanfreakingtastic! In a weird and slightly disturbing way of course. He dances to “Everybody dance now” and gets a standing ovation! Nigel picks on him for giving up, and wants him to do a dance off between him and Phillip Chbeeb and he says he’s all for it, so Nigel’s says if he won’t chicken out again, he’ll contact Phillip and maybe have it for the Finale – that? would be AWESOME.

Time for the solos: Kourtni goes first, then Matt, Courtney, Gev, Comfort and Thayne. Kourtni dances as fiercely as her hair demands, and I think she did really well, Matt shows off his technique is perfect, as always. Courtney is so beautiful and so tiny and she spins forever and ever – it’s high energy and I heart her. Gev, also tiny and extremely high energy – as Courtney sad “GO GETTEM GEV!” I heart him too! His last trick is amazing, and Cat tells him not to do that to him ever again, he scared her to death! haha! Comfort shakes and pops her thang all over the stage, it’s fast and furious and excellent (and she’s sexy as hell too!) Finally, Thayne is up and he stumbles at least once but covers it well and I liked his choice of song (got to break free) and choreography.

The judges take off to make their decision, and One Republic performs. Afterwards, Nigel says that tonight is really touch, and the judges are not unanimous. Courtney has risen to the occasion always and done what they’ve asked of her, and she’s safe! They’ve watched Comfort grow, but she didn’t get Nigel’s vote because her solo wasn’t strong enough, but she’s staying, and Kourtni is leaving, and he’s sorry. that’s all. She gets hugs from Cat (have i mentioned how much I adore her?!? She’s the best host out there, hands down.) the traditional montage, and then we’re on to the guys.

Gev is asked to step forward, and they were delighted with his solo, it was fantastic, and he’s safe too (YAY!) Nigel tells Thayne and Matt that it was tough, but they were in agreement. Matt came in at a high level, and he hasn’t grown much, so they ask him to leave, and Thayne is safe. A Cat hug and montage, and he’s off.

What did you think of the results? Agree, disagree? Can our top four (Katee, Josh, Twitch and Kerrington) do any wrong? Sound off and let me know!
