The Demon Choir
New camera – MANY settings, CLEARLY the wrong one chosen. Hm. Maybe I should go through those instructions again. However, it is a very ghoulish looking photo so I shall share it in all it’s glory with you. *L*
I could blame the pictures on the Sister, since she was using the camera, but that would just be mean. And that’s not the important part anyway!
The important part is that my boy, my baby boy, had his first solo today! He sang a duet with his best friend, though it was largely two solos, with a little duet action at the end. both boys did BEAUTIFULLY and we all are so proud we could just bust! He looked very studly up there with his robe and his friend and his mic and man – I’da been barfing. *g* He was pretty nervous, but handled it like a pro. Hurray!
Yeah – wrong settings – but I *really* like how it turned out anyway.. all soft and silouette-y….
Now, I’ve mentioned the new camera – here’s how that came about. you see, AK dividends came yesterday and so i went to do a little bit of retail therapy. Nothing like that! I went with the intentions of getting a camcorder because I have always wanted one and goddammit I’m finally gonna get my own! Well! While I was there I found the one that went straight to mini dvd’s and it was even on sale and I was leaning heavily that way…. until I found a digital cam that went to tape that was far cheaper but with still the same good characteristics and such – and if i got that? I could upgrade the camera too! So! I went from my old Kodak 3700 3.2mp to the Kodak C340 5.1 MP camera, but boupcoup settings and goodies and my goodness it’s a teeny tiny thing! AND – getting both of those? I still saved 150 bucks. *Shining grin*
Retail therapy. Whee!
In other news. Got the video for the Bil’s wedding from April 23. They had warned me, so I didn’t watch it wtih the kids, as there was a *lot* of Kevin in there. It was… hard.. but oh so wonderful to see him when he happy, and well, full of life. He was making jokes, and the camera tended to follow him (which is funny, he HATED being on camera. *L*) And just spending time with his Cory and Cindy. I cried, and laughed, and cried some more, then laughed through the rest. I’ll let the kids watch it when they think they are ready.
Called the state ME, and finally got a reply. I should have the reports in my hands in another 2 weeks or so. Bloody iijit went on vacation before getting it transcripbed etc. *Sigh* I know what’s on it as the CoD, but I’d rather wait until I get the reports in hand before I do anything about it. I’m not sure what I’m going to do, or if I’m just going to let it be over. I just.. don’t know.
But in other news – new link over there on the blog roll. GO on over and welcome The Girl to the blogging world at The Life of the Girl – and be sure to tell her that HER pictures of her brother tonight are even better then mine. But stop telling her that getting detention was ok! *cough*AuntieDarlin*Cough*
