imperfection
for PhotoFriday: Imperfection
This tattoo is the one I got on my honeymoon – it’s 12.5 years old and very much in need of touchups. It, very much like the breast it is on, has faded and sagged and deteriorated over the years.
But I don’t think I’ll ever retouch it now – for the tattoo, in all it’s faded beauty, reminds me every day of one of the happiest days of my life. The shine may be gone from the horn, and my husband may no longer be at my side – but even through the shitty times and faded arguments, he will always be my mythical hero, and every moment we had together remains beautiful.

wow, that was beautifully written
I agree. I wouldn’t touch it either. I am glad you have something so beutiful to remind you of your day.
Yes, nothing can take away what you had. May your memories never fade!
