My daughter is WAY more talented then yours!

in comes the girl, “Hey mom – can I borrow the camera?” Sure, says I. I ask her what she’s taking pictures of, she says outside, I turn off the flash for her and send her on the way.

She says when she returns: “I took three, from different persepctives, I like the middle one the best, with the reflection on the clouds and the orange by the tree, the water looked cool too.

The one next to the house is ok, but not as bright as I wanted it to be.”

My jaw dropped. I stared at her. my NINE YEAR OLD is talking perspective and proper placement and balance in photographs.

I promised her I’d get them uploaded right away.

Yes. She was very VERY correct on all her comments about her pictures that she took. And the one she nailed as her best? is out. fucking. standing. Check it out.

I’m so proud! She amazes her aunties and gramma and the lady who RUNS the parties when she goes to the scrap booking parties around here. She comes up with combinations no one had thought off, gleefully attacks with sissors and stickers and places shapes in shapes and has no problem just GOING for it while they hmmm and haw… and stare at her with “i’d neverhave thought of that!”

AND shes an excellent freaking artist too! Would that I had HER talent when I was her age.

I’m so proud.
My kids rock. *grin*

But then again – I HAVE pass 26k on my nano novel, ahead of time and am really quite pleased with what I’m spewing out…. *beeeeg grin*

Speaking of which – gotta get the homework outa the way to write tonights chapter.

and i’m quite smug that I succeeded in making Jamie cry this morning. *smug* screw 50k. I’m a success RIGHT NOW. *flex!*
