Ebony Rose

These flowers were made by a co-worker of my late husband for his memorial services. They are metal – he welds them from old oil drums on the North Slope – and they are simply gorgeous.
For this weeks Inspiration challenge (Flowers) I wanted a darker shot with these flowers. I couldn’t find a backdrop I was happy with, and then I was like DOH! outside! snow!
So I broke out my new tripod, and set her up and set my camera for night shooting, and happily clicked away. I’m actually very pleased with the finished shot.

amazing…
very nice, sweetie. very nice.
Great pic! I also enjoyed the short, stout teapot.
That’s really beautiful. I hate the temporariness of ordinary flowers, so I’m always drawn to other, more artistic forms of them.
