DILO – Day In the Life Of

So, today, thanks to KristyK’s heads up, I took part in DILO. If you’re interested, click the picture to start through the set – or here to the whole set. Still adding some, of course, as it’s only 4:30 pm, and thus still a few more hours before this day is over.

Just a normal Saturday around here. Up early for training meeting, then hanging around the house. The one oddity was heading to the High School so that the boy could record his AllState Choir audition tape. While we were waiting (Cuz they were running behind, of course) we wandered around and took some pictures there too. Now why is it, that everytime I want a decent picture of the boy, he grumbles and ducks and dodges – but when I want a picture of say, a hallway – he JUMPS RIGHT IN? Harumph.

Unfortunately the recording didn’t go very well, because guess who’s voice is changing? Heh. Not really noticible until he wavers on certain notes. Ms. H says that his voice has changed a lot in just the past three weeks. She’d know, of course. If it settles into a steadiness by Monday she’ll re-record. Otherwise, he’ll have to wait until next year to try for Allstate. We’ll find out if he made All-Burough in the next couple weeks, and Monday (hopefully) we’ll find out if he gets to take the trip to Europe.
