AUGH! (A peek at Lessa’s AIM in which there is copious amounts of Caps Lock abuse.)
[14:58] Lessa: *mutters in your general direction*
[14:58] Mei: (mutters back)
[14:59] L: You and your stupid books without happy endings…

A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 3)
Amazon.com: A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 3): By: George R.R. Martin
– AUGH! So they got her, and then she got away, and then they got her AGAIN and then the girl, they forced her to marry the dwarf, and then the Red Wedding! and the Wildlings! and you know nothing Jon Snow and OMFG THERE IS STILL NO HAPPY ENDING! Someone had better MAKE WITH THE HAPPY! Harumph. Um. Yes. Book 3 devoured, book 4 ordered, STILL HOPING! (eternal optimist that I am. And yes. READ THEM! but don’t throw them. That’s my job. Heh.)
A Clash of Kings
Amazon.com: A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 2): by: George R.R. Martin
– I guess you can’t scramble for thrones without breaking a few yokels. Book two, and continuing the story. We’ve gone from 1 king, to many, with many others vying for position. And we find out who grabbed Arya! Not… that it’s a good thing in the end. Told still from many points of view, and my happy ending, no where NEAR in sight. Swordplay, wordplay, fleshplay – seriously, who could want for more in a medievil epic?? ‘Not dead, but broken.’
A Game of Thrones
Amazon.com: A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 1): By: George R.R. Martin
– Ok, so Mei insisted that I read these, even knowing how I am about happy endings. Fortunately, I am willing to wait for my happy endings, because everytime I pick a favorite char, they die. heh. War and swordfights and a great old world feel without relying heavily on magic… well, it’s a definite winner. Gritty and more *real* then other series, I think. I still want a happy ending! WHO GRABBED ARYA?
Poseidon
– If you’re looking for cheap but solid adrenaline kicks – this is a good choice! Remake of The Poseidon Adventure from the early 70s, it’s got your typical hero complexes, stupid characters surviving on luck alone, and no shortage on awesome special effects. You may wanna kill off some of the stupid people – and cheer when the rogue wave hits, but all in all, you’ll still cheer (weakly and with rolling eyes) at the end. A solid 7/10.
