me-1987-88
Heh. Dad uncovered this photo at his Print Shop while he was going through old files and packing them away. Taken by a friend who was a yearbook photographer, in 87 or 88, when he was determined that I should be in the yearbook somewhere other then my picture page.
Thing is – I thought, and was told, time and time again, how FAT i was back then. *Snort*
3 kids, 4 pregnacies, 4 surguries, and almsot 20 years later? I’d *LOVE* to be that size again…
STOP THE WORLD! I want off.
OK – so, remember when I said the dog had a golf ball sized lump in her throat last week? She stopped eating her dry food, her eyes got goopy, she got lathargic, and just generally didn’t seem herself over the past two days. So I called Auntie Ladybug, who agreed a vet visit was called for, and they got me in right away.
She has canine lymphoma, which is universally fatal. We’ve been given some prednisone, which should make her comfortable, and even happy for the next month or so, putting it into temporary remision, but she has only a few months at best. If it doesn’t seem to be better in a few days, we won’t even have that long with her. My heart is breaking, and I had to tell the kids, and it’s just not fucking FAIR. They lost their dad, now their dad’s/our dog is going to die, and the cat is looking worse by the day and likely will not survive the next couple months either. All in one year.
Life officially sucks giant green donkey dicks.

Oy! Of all the unfortunate names to have when AIDS hit mainstream news. That you were born to hypocritical asshats made it even better. I admired your serenity through it all, though I’da changed my name.
