No off button.
I heard someone say once that they didn’t have an ‘off button’ that things that started in their head tended to flow right on out thier mouth with no filter in between. Had an experience with another person who’s the same way today.
I don’t get it. I really don’t.
Yeah. I tend to ignore political shit. I ignore anything that doesn’t jump right on up in my face and demand attention. It’s not… conscious, really, I just don’t have the patience to dig through all the bullshit. I’d much rather watch a story on the little dog that found his way home, then deal with war happening here or there and all the strife in between. It just doesn’t seem to matter much in my world. If that makes me a bad person so be it.
But to downright tell someone. “I’ve read on it. ANd that statement shows a huge ignorance on your part” is just rude. And when it’s pointed out – that you know, back off a bit, some of us don’t live and breath this shit, and to be talked down too because of that as well… that’s downright infuckingfuriating.
And for gods sake. when someone says “look, fine your always right, fucking drop it.” THEN DROP IT. Especially when that someone is me and I’ve already said I’m NOT IN the mood to DEAL with condenscending BULLSHIT.
Don’t keep messaging me.
Don’t keep trying to prove your point.
DON’T keep getting in my face about how your right and the rest of the world is nuts.
Because some of us – and by that, I mean me – just don’t. fucking. care.
Get a goddamn clue for chrissake.

In other news.
Lessa’s extremely streesed out about her damn senior project. Pay no attention to anything uttered in the heat of any extreme emotion, as it’s likely I might not really mean it. Well, except for the “when i say drop it, for godsake drop it” line. That I mean.

In still other news – the pup is sporting a new do, by request. Click to supersize.
Be sure to note Eddie Murphy’s SHOCKED look on the TV in the background of the first picture. Unintentional, but fucking hysterical. *L* The pup shocked MURPHY. That takes talent.

And in still other news.
Asshole comes home tomorrow – stress level just trippled.

And hey. One more piece of news.
I’m pissy. Fucking deal with it. *snort*
Letting go….
So, The boy asked me today “mom, can I ride my bike into town and grab a soda at McDonalds and come home?”
I said no.
He asked why.
Erm. Unfortunately the “Because I’m not ready for you to be that old yet!” didn’t work. You know, I’m having no problem telling people that I am 34 years old now. But telling people and dealing with the fact that my son is 12 years old? THAT is KILLING me! *Sobs* I am not old enough to deal with this!
I let him go, of course, but did the same thing my parents did (though for me, it was 7-11, and a payphone outside). He had to call me from the payphone there when he arrived, as well as before he left so that I knew exactly when he was on the bike trail. It’s just barely a mile into town, so it’s not like its a LONG way… but still. *Sob* This push for independance is going to kill me.
And then I found a box, all taped up, that I didn’t know what was inside….
Oh. My. God. Baby pictures. Baby footprints. Baby diapers. Just… man.
So I thought I’d scan and share pictures of my babies – as I think of them, and as they REALLY are… *soft chuckle* Beautiful, ain’t they? (click to supersize)
*SOBS!!!* I’m so OLD!!!!!
It gets closer and closer and….
So. In a little over a month, the Pup will be 5 years old. You know what that means right? i gotta find her birthcertificate. heh.
I will be ordering a new one, I have a feeling. *L* I’m so bad about stuff like that.
However… this past week, the pup has had all of her shots, without any reaction too! She didn’t even get a fever! just a little muscle soreness. She had her physical with Dr. C, and was prclaimed a square. (She is 44 inches tall, she weighs 44 pounds, and even her bp was 104/44! When teased, she said “I am not a square! I just LIKE the number FOUR because I AM Four!” Can’t argue with that…)
And tonight it was off to the school for her orientation. She got to play in a class room with other kids, while mom’s were given the runthrough. I’ve not been in the school for a couple years, so hadn’t seen the new office setup – it’s finally by the front door where it belongs. Have to get used to the new setup for the Kindergarten hours as well. I had thought to have her in the later class, but then I’d never hear the end of it. She’s waited for 3 years to have breakfast in the mornings before school with Gramma and Papa….. so the early class it will be. *chuckles* Then I’ll be picking her up from school at 1:30pm every day. There’s also only one kinder teacher that is still there from when the older two attended – and even the favorite Mr. W, the PE teacher, is retiring this year! He’s signed on as a substitute, however, so he’ll still be hanging around school. His jaw dropped when he saw The Boy tonight, because the boy is bigger then Mr. W now. *chuckles*
So we signed up for the Visit day…. The Pup, Cousin T, and Friend J – all members of the weekly Monday Playdates- will be headed to the School to spend an hour in a real live Kinder Classroom…
Auntie j, and myself are doing pretty well with all this. Cousin T has been in preschool for 2 years, and the Pup is my baby, so I’ve done this twice before. Oh but Miss D… she’s having such problems…. she’s already sniffling! We’ll be there with her to support her in the ‘parents room’ they set up the first day of school, to hand her tissues and hold her hand when she realizes that her firstborn is a big School Boy now…
Me? i’m looking forward to it. *Chuckles* At least, so far. Ask me again in a few months…. *L*
mishmash
Ugh.
Interesting time home with the Asshole. The first week he was so nice – I began to wonder if he’d been arrested again and neglected to tell me. I talked to him about postponing the trip, and he was agreeable, and even downright happy about it and with my plans of what needed to be done with the money, including that dental bill. He Said it was cool with him, and to do what I saw fit, and we’d head down in october/november sometime and try to get a trip in to see his bro and the new baby due around then as well.
Color me shocked.
Then at one point we had a huge scene that was being played out and I knew I’d be mass busy for several hours, so asked if he’d keep the kids out of my hair. He said yes – I rented movies, bought dinner and munchies to last several days not just hours, and he kept them out in the manspace with him all night long – they only came in to pee! It was amazing… and he did it all without complaint.
I was seriously frightened.
Heh. Course, this week is more the normal fair, and I can’t wait to get him back off to work. He does go back a day early this time, so that’s good.
Other then that – enjoying my week off of school, mass busy with work, and helped the asshole rebuild the innards of our toilet (Which involved ME going under the house and dealing with the cobwebs and big ass spiders for a while. ew.)
In a nutshell.
Heh. More later – this is just a quickie while he’s not looking. heh.
Oh la LA!
In other news – nothing pics up the spirits like a little Photoshop fun (even if my computer keeps shutting down on me now. mutter.) and joining in the “Where’s Fran?” fun over at room-208!
Have you seen Fran? I sure have, and HOW!
Check it out!

It’s all about the brows and the 5 o’clock shadow, man…. (one word. wax! (two – ouch! *L*))
