Story over Talent?

Posted by Lessa on September 17, 2009 in NBC |

Sigh. America, America, America – sometimes I wonder about you. Half the time as Reality Voters, you get it right. But then there’s the other half, and I wonder… what the HELL? You know what I’m talking about, yes? We waited through almost two full hours of filler on America’s Got Talent last night – including a performance by the best of the worst, and watched Shakira dry hump a speaker box, and other atrocities… all to find out the winner in the last 2 minutes of the show.

It wasn’t Recycled Percussion.
It wasn’t even Voices of Glory – which would have been predictable and also wrong. It wasn’t the Fab Five – who are fabulous indeed. And it wasn’t Barbara Padilla, who’s Ava Maria makes me love opera…

No. It was the unemployed chicken catcher, who hasn’t turned in a decent performance since his audition – Kevin Skinner.

KEVIN SKINNER?! People are you NUTS? When there were WET ROCKER BOYZ PLAYING DRUMS? And against second place Barbara Padilla?

All on THIS performance?

We all know it was his audition that won the hearts of America, and we wish Kevin the best – but.. SRSLY?! Come AWN. Sigh.

Oh well – On to bigger and better things… SYTYCD and SURVIVOR! 🙂

Are YOU a Gleek?

Posted by Lessa on September 17, 2009 in SYTYCD |

Ok, I know, I know, it’s not a Reality Show – but it relates, and not just because I love the show. I mean COME ON – they covered POISON last night! And I want to Sex You Up! Not to mention Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Bust Your Windows

This show is GOLD people. GOLD.

How does it relate to you, my Reality Dazies (other than me telling you to WATCH IT! WATCH IT NOW and its my site and I totally can)? Easy – Front and center during the performance of Vocal Adrenaline – it’s none other than Lauren from SYTYCD! Check it out!

If you’re not convinced yet – here’s the full I wanna Sex You Up by the Acafellas (3 teachers and 2 students)

.

INORITE?!
Become a Gleek.
You know you want too.

We’ve watched his Choreography and as guest judge since SYTYCD’s third season in 2007, and he’s been on hand during the audition rounds – the first of which premiered last week. We know him, we love him, and now he’s going to be around in a much more permanent way -as a weekly judge alongside Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy!

Beginning October 27 – the Top Twenty performance show, Adam will be on hand to help pick apart the performances as we search for our next favorite dancer. I’m thrilled! Adam’s always honest, but gives constructive critism and glowing praise where it’s deserved as well!

There’s no word on if there will be a 4th judges seat for the weekly guest judges we’re used to seeing, but I’m sure we’ll find that out in time.

Tonight, the auditions hit Phoenix, AZ for week two of the Auditions! Are YOU watching?

Haven't seen the opening sequence yet?
