I just shrug and chuckle. “I don’t know, son.”

“Well, your dad was often full of shit. From him, you got Half Irish and Half Bitch who Claimed Irish, or anything else depending on the day. From me you get 1/4 Irish.”
“So that’s…”
“A little over half Irish.”
“Oh. and the rest?”
“Grade A 100% Heinz 57 Mutt. Which includes your Grandpa’s Hillbillyness.”
“….mutt….?”
“Little bitta everything.”
“Oh. Well daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang. My ancestors. they got BIZZAY!”
“…… Why yes, son. I suppose so” (said with a straight face for all of 0.2 seconds!)

In other news, while watching Barbara Walters Special, I have been given permission by the Boy to make wild passionate whoopie with Matthew McConaughey should the opportunity ever arise! See, I said “man, he SURE is a cutie!” and he said “NO! mom! just. NO!” and I said “But son… he’s rich. imagine the things he’d get you in order to keep me around…”

And my son, my darling baby boy, said….

“Rock on mom. Rock his world.”

So watch out Ms. Cruz! I’ma comin for ya my new boyfriend!

For the record – he had the same reasoning for allowing me to shack up with Mr. Clooney too. Such a good boy! *LOL*

Week 8 of 13… in which I introduce you to the Future Leader of our Country!

The results for week 8 of the Photohunt are in – and i’ll be DAMNED if the PUP did not just ROCKET AHEAD of her sister, her Gramma AND ME!

Man. Oh man. If she actually beats all three of us, there will be no END to the gleeful gloating we will hear! Though, to be honest, I’d be a little frightened if she lost now:

Which is funny, cuz just today I commented over a Kristy’s place about how moose tastes pretty darn good all marinated up n fried. *eg*

These are pipes/irish flute/windpipes/some sorta wooden woodwind instrument that my late husband loved, and annoyed me by playing often. heh. fortunately, they aren’t the type to be loud!

‘Shut da doo’, keep out da devil’, and the return of THATBOY

The boy had his spring concert this evening, and we were treated to some choir classics, which included one I sang back in the day – “shut da doo’ keep out da devil, shut da doo’ keep th’ devil outside…” There were a couple solo’s as well, including one that they told us we couldn’t use as our senior song because it was too riske! And here was some 8th grader singing it at a concert! harumph!

I had fun watching the pup and papa watch the concert together, as they sat and cuddled for each 1.5 second timeframe where the pup stopped moving, before she’d realize she was falling asleep and would bounce again.

They didn’t even notice when her babyfine blond hair got all tangled up in his gray beard. But I did – and naturally, took a couple pictures. *chuckles*

And so, the girl, she was being the camera girl for me, taking the video, and suddenly I hear “hey” and turned around to see who was talking to her and lo and behold – it was THATBOY!

So I blinded them.

With the FLASH, of course. *chuckles* But well, she’s all bubbly and giggly and so I teased her lots, and then the show was over and home we came. Tada! Course, I’ll find out whatall they was talkin bout when I transfer the tape to VHS. *Snicker* Cuz well, they were standing RIGHT there the whole time. heh.heh.heh.
