So – a friend of mine got email at work! Email! at WORK! which means of course, that this week while the Asshole is home, Lessa had someone to ‘talk’ too in the early morning hours.
A graphics diva in the making…
The pup spent 2 hours very carefully creating this, her first computer image masterpiece in MS paint. *g* I dutifully printed two out, and stuck one in an envelope to TBF for his fridge, too. Autographed by the pup herself.
ain’t it cute? *grin*
Just in case you were wondering….
A writers/artists/thinkers board that I’m a part of is having a quick writing creative contest – and so, because I think so highly of ya’ll, here’s my 150 word entry on just Why do bats have wings?
Many moons ago, Rat had giant dreams. He was certain he could fly, that his destiny lay in the clouds above, rather then in the sewers below. His companions badgered him endlessly about the inanity of his thoughts and plans when he shared them.
So he stopped sharing.
Locked inside his workshop, Rat created prototype after prototype of the wings that would allow him to soar. Many materials were tried, yet none seemed to catch the wind when he leapt from his worktable and flapped his wings.
In despair, Rat flung himself from the highest point of land, committing himself fully to success or death on the rocky shore below. The Great One saw the intensity of Rat’s Commitment and saw that it was good. In reward, as Rat flapped his mighty wooden wings, they were replaced with flesh and bone, and at long last Bat achieved his dream: flight.
See? it all makes sense now!
