Seventy-two fuckin degrees.

Remember just 3 weeks ago that it was snowing and freezing??

SEVENTY FUCKIN TWO DEGREES!!!

The Girl had a double header today against Homer – first game, they one 4-8. Then we had a bbq (and I’ll mutter bout that later) and then game two – which my Angels ALSO won, 28-6.

Yes. 28-6!

Very sunburnt, very hot. I wore a sweatshirt, dummy me. But had I worn a t-shirt, it would have rained! – pushed up sleaves and WITH sunscreen FRIED my forearms and face n neck. heh. Now I don’t care WHO sees, i’ma wear my tank top. If thye don’t like fat white bitches showing cleavage they can look at the more then plenty short short clad women running bout town. *chuckle* i’m HOT. not hawt! but HOT.

Seventy. freakin. two.

OY! Going to camp out in front of the fan. heh. Later.

OK – the promised updates..

  1. Little League! Yup – it’s begun, our 5 weeks of complte craziness, though this year it’s a little bit easier because the boy has decided to umpireand not play this year. Of course, in his place, we have the wee ladybug, who’s joining the ranks in her first year of t-ball.The pup and Bug are doing really well! They are in their first year of coach pitch, and in both their first games have gotten good solid hits and made it to first base – a total win at this age level. Tonight they had the added benefit of playing catcher for an inning, the both of them! Timothy volunteered, and the pup, well she followed instantly because “Anything he can do i can do too!”

The girl also had her first game last night, and in a thrilling display of Angel-ic delight, they trounced Sistercity, Soldotna, 15-5! In THEIR home field too. Heh. It was an awesome start to the season, and the girl got herself a solid hit, as well as an RBI, and played 2nd base.

  2. My kids? So much cooler then any other kids. Why? Um. cuz they paid me to say that. *shining grin* Actually, at the awards ceremony at the Middle School today, I was just surprised to find out that The Boy got the Director’s Award for 8th grade Choir for outstanding character and dedication for the past three years! WHOO! I’m *so* proud of him!!
    TheBoyAward
  3. School’s out?!? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
  4. Emotional breakdowns – it’s the little things that sneak up on ya that get you. Like how much he HATED hearing it was baseball season again, because it postponed any camping with the kids for the first month of summer vacation. He would have *loved* our schedule this year, as after this weekend, we have no friday or saturday games. He would have been content with that. And as I grabbed my ball cap and headed toward the first game, it all kinda hit me. It’s not quite the same level of craziness without his bitching in the background – until he’d talk to the kids, of course, and it was all about how well they’re doing and how proud of him he always was. He even sat through several games for each of them, though there was little he hated more, sportswise, then baseball. I controlled the breakdown till later, but it still hurts. It’s the stupid little things that still sneak in. blah.
  5. And! Bill the Homeless guy. There, I mentioned him – course, you’ll have to wait for Nana Moosie to share the story and picture. *grin*
  6. The end. Heh.

GASP! TAGGED!

Posted by Lessa on May 25, 2006 in this-n-that |

I have been TAGGED! and by a MOOSE of all things! And not ze purple one who happens to be my mum, but that one over there in the kitchen!Who never fails to make me chortle in glee with her humor and ramblings and serious love of all things cookie dough!

So – just for her, I shall submit to this lil tag and do the MeMe. (memememmeme!)

5 items in my fridge

  1. Something that may, or may not have been originally AuJus (atchoo!) sauce from my sister’s house. I don’t remember what container it had been placed in and its beginning to resemble a 3rd grade science project, so I think I shall simply ignore it’s existance.
  2. Cheese! All hail the power of ham n cheese sammiches for breakfast!
  3. Mayo
  4. gogurts – for the kids, of course!
  5. The last beer of the last case bought before my husbands last trip to the slope where he passed away. I keep meaning to move it/give it away (for I don’t like beer) and instead keep tucking it into the back corner of the fridge behind my diet crack.

5 items in my closet

  1. Boxes. Of what, I have no idea, as they’ve been there unopened since we moved into this house 13 years ago. heh.
  2. lingere that I was given before my wedding, back then when I could fit into such things without setting off everyone’s gag reflex!
  3. My Wedding Dress
  4. Baby clothes from each of the kids.
  5. Old Sweaters from High School. Shut up! The moose in the kitchen has 8million purses and shoes! I think the redneck relatives (with less taste – or rather of “omg she was SUCH a child of the 80s!” tastes) of the aliens (of good [more updated] taste) in her closet are having a garage sale in mine!

5 items in my car

  1. The Keys.
  2. Buglet’s spare car seat
  3. baseball gloves/hats/uniforms/blankets for the cold sit on the bleachers, etc.
  4. A spar tire
  5. Last but no least, COFFEE PUNCH CARDS!

5 items in my purse

  1. Pictures of my kids
  2. A keychain with lil mini sharpie pens on them. They’re so CUTE! and magenta, teal, lime green and orange!
  3. bug dope! for the ball park
  4. sunscreen – also for the ball park. occasionally we have sunny days! as evidenced by my sunburn. So it wasn’t in there last night – what’s your point??
  5. my camera

5 people who are tagged

  1. Nana Moosie
  2. Dragonfly
  3. Blyght
  4. Smirkle
  5. Anyone else who wants ta do it. *g*

Coming… laterish! First ball games, how much cooler my kids are then yours, last days of school, emotional meltdowns, and other such exciting gems! (perhaps I’ll even mention Bill the Homeless Guy we saw in Anchorage!)

For now? naptime. My last one for the summer. *sob*

On Inner Peace..

Posted by Lessa on May 23, 2006 in this-n-that |

Sent to me by TBF…

Subject: Inner Peace

I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me, and we all could use more calm in our lives. By following the simple advice I heard on a Dr. Phil show, I have finally found inner peace. Dr. Phil proclaimed the way to achieve inner peace was to finish all the things you have started.

So I looked around my house to see things I started and hadn’t finished; and before leaving the house this morning I finished….

a bottle of Merlot,
a bottle of White Zinfandel,
a bottle of Baileys,
a bottle of Kahlua,
a package of Oreos,
the remainder of the Valium prescriptions,
the rest of the cheesecake,
the rest of the Doritos
and a box of chocolates.

You have no idea how freaking good I feel.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
